Heidi, I did this for my brother -- it's based off of Edward Gorey's The Gashleycrumb Tinies - basically an illustrated alphabet book about the different (sometimes absurd) ways children die...He really likes Gorey, and I don't mind him so I took a stab at it - obviously I didn't try to copy his characters (his are way cooler... these are just the ones I used for Art I homework)...
Oooh, and it's not that I hate cats - believe me - but my brother has the most bipolar cat on the face of the earth and it scares the $#^! out of me... I always tell him that I can't visit him because the cat will eat me...
Oh, this is pen and ink (something I am not very good at using at all). The letters are from Microsoft Word... Yeah.

Heidi, J'ai dessiné ceci pour mon frère. J'ai utilisé Gashleycrumb Tinies d'Edward Gorey comme une référence pour le dessin - le livre illustré est de comment les enfants meurent différemment (et parfois ridiculement)...
Mon Frère aime beaucoup de Gorey et il ne m'ennuie pas ainsi j'ai essayé dessiner l'image - mais je n'ai pas essayé copier les caractères d'Edward Gorey (ses caractères sont plus cool que le mien... mes caractères sont des devoirs de l'Art 1).
Oooh, et je ne deteste pas des chats - me croire - mais mon frère a le chat le plus bipolaire dans la monde et j'ai peur d'elle... D'habitude, je lui dis que je ne peux pas visiter parce que le chat me mangera...

It's soo cute! The kitty looks like a drop of liquid or something. XD The clean lines and the shadows look really neat. I love the way you did the lettering on the computer. It makes it look very story-book-ish. The matting too. All the things you added to it - the lettering and the matting - compliment it really well. It's simple, but the good kind of simple. Like we talked about in religion. 0_o

Haha, well the cat is fat - according to my brother... But I don't believe him.
I am glad you like it, it is way different than the noble Caspar. I wish I could've showed it to you in real life... it looks better than it does on the computer (the scanner made the paper look funny and the black is darker...)
