I love both Maud and Trixie so badly

Guys, have you seen how strong and fast Maud is? Remember the time she threw a rock in the lake and created a mini-tsunami or how she ran to save her little sister and crushed those rocks into powder? We are talking about a pony that is so strong both in strenght and will that almost killed Luna on her own Dream Real (see this comic to get context) .
Maud has to control her temper otherwise she will hurt other ponies because she lives in a world made of cardboard.

Trixie, the epitome of biased opinions.
Maud actually suffers from the same things Dwarfs suffer. Dwarfs hate the outside mainly because they feel they will fall into the sky. This is why most of the dwarven villages are found in the side of a mountain.

A lot of people with self-esteem issues end up feeling this way. It's truly terrifying, being encouraged to trust other people with things that could hurt you if done wrong. If your friends fail you even once, it will feel like a massive betrayal, even if you succeed at things far more often with their help than you do without; when it's self-blame, you at least feel like you're blaming nobody important.
