Amy Xi Feng Watanabe

1. Amy is half-Japanese, half-Chinese. She is only fluent in English and Mandarin. She can understand Japanese for the most part and sort of speak it, but reading? Hopeless case, unless it's all in Kanji.

2. Amy has an older brother named Jeng Li Watanabe. His English name is Kain, he hates it, and she will not hesitate to blurt it out for the sole sake of pissing him off. In fact, most of what she says and does is merely to push her older brother's buttons. Don't take her seriously if you can help it.

3. Then again, she might be just as devious as Jake is and weave some hidden meanings behind her words. ...but she's too dumb to do that. And she's ten years old.

4. Despite being seven years younger than Li, she is only three inches shorter. He hates the fact that she grew so quickly, and for more reasons than just pride. See, because she's tall, people often think that she's much, much older than she really is. She's fairly pretty and looks slightly airheaded by default. She's basically Douchebag Brigade Bait.

5. Amy, like Li, used to play piano but totally ditched it in favor of another instrument. While Li chose a slightly less common instrument (electric bass and upright bass--for some reason he considers them the same thing 'cause he's a little shekiface), Amy went straight for another Typically Asian Instrument--the violin. She can only play two songs on it--Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Zigeunerweisen by Sarasate. This is mainly because her violin teacher, fourteen-year-old Lucas Castell, loves that song to death. She doesn't really know the pitches she plays; she just practiced that song so much that her fingers pretty much take over. Ask her to play an easier song and she won't even be able to sightread the first measure. But she's working on it.

6. Amy, despite being Asian, sucks at math.

7. "Xi Feng" means "western phoenix". Apparently while their mother was pregnant with her, she had a dream of a great phoenix rising up from the west. Amy hates her Chinese name, saying that it's too epic and fancypants.

8. Despite coming from a filthy rich family (another addition to being Douchebag Brigade Bait), Amy is not spoiled. Her grandparents did most of the raising (as her parents were too busy with work), and they made damn well sure that she did her own laundry and made her own bed.

9. When she turns sixteen, it becomes painfully apparent that she has great aim. Case in point: she goes paintballing with a friend and owns his face.

The Kanji in the drawing says "Watanabe". The Hanja in my icon says "Cho". It's pronounced "Zhao" in Chinese, as in "Zhao Yun", that hot bastard from Dynasty Warriors--*shot* ...Just sayin' XD
