What if the Matrix had passed not to Ultra Magnus or Hot Rod but instead to the least likely? Bumblebee gets the Prime reformat.The name Auceps means spy or eavesdropper and also conveniently begins with Au, the chemical symbol for gold (suggestive of Bumblebee's previous upgrade to Goldbug).

Fantastic concept. The name might work even better if you go with "Aucupis", which is the genetive form (whatever that means

It would be wrong though - the genitive case is used to imply ownership/possession. It would effectively say "The Eavesdropper's Prime", suggesting the Prime is an object owned by the eavesdropper rather than "Eavesdropper Prime" where the two words are both halves of a name.

I making my own tansformers storyline. And i am useing Auceps Prime... I dont think im gonna use the bumble storyline.
He's gonna be named Auceps Magnus before he's Prime.

I just wanted to reach out to you personally and apologize for something that happened this past week. Our team at CarInsurance.org created a Transformers Generation 1 Infographic and used your image of Auceps Prime without your permission. Our mistake was to assume that if we were making a poster for non-commercial purposes that it would be okay to use fan-art, but that is clearly not the case. We regret using that image without permission and for mistaking him as Goldbug in our graphic. We have revised the poster, removed your image and will send out the correct versions to the blogs that posted the original.

No prob. I happen to love alt primes. There's a Galvatron Prime floating around. You did such a great job. Would love to see more alt primes. Arcee, Wheelie, Metroplex, Blaster, or maybe punch / counterpunch (just cause it's so unlikely.) Anyway like your work. keep it up.
