I find more redeemable things in Boom!Knuckles then in this ship, that is how much it pisses me off. Trust me when i say you don't want to discuss either with me.

Because this ship embodies the worst aspects of Amy's character. I don't hate Amy and can find genuinely nice moments from her in the few occations when she isn't just thinking about Sonic, but whenever her obsessive affection comes to the foreground (which is a lot of the time) i just can't stand it. In Sonic Battle she at one point halucinates that Sonic helps her fight Rouge (which is one of the hardest fights in that game, btw), constantly deludes herself into thinking Sonic loves him but is too shy to admit it while everyone else can see that isn't the case and she can aparantly heal by thinking about Sonic (not making this up sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Amy_Heal ). Her obsessive self centered affection can also make her downright nasty at times, as seen in Free Riders where she drags Vector and Cream to a race that neither was interested in just so that she could be close to Sonic and spends a good chunk of the game whining and being mean towards everyone. Also, she deludes herself into thinking Sonic promised a date with her regardless of wheter she wins or loses, while Sonic clearly didn't promise anything. Or how about when Amy flat out attempted to fight Sonic in an attempt to force him to marry her while Sonic clearly didn't want anything to do with it in Heroes "Amy, knock it off! There's no time to play!". And don't even get me started on the whole argument that their feelings would need to grow over time, Sonic isn't some 8 year old thinking girls have cooties, he has good reason to dislike Amy's affection with her constant chasing him and creepy obsessive behavior.
My apologies if anything throughout my rant offended you, but i've genuinely built up a lot of hatred for this ship. I hated the thought of Sonic and Amy getting together long before i even knew what shipping was, and that hatred has only grown the more i've learned about Amy's obsessive affection. I think it would be wise to leave it at this.

I know it's not supposed to be taken seriously, but that honestly just makes it worse for me. Amy can have some genuinely nice moments like how she's convinced the likes of Gamma and Shadow to fight on the good or how she cheered up her teammates when they were about to give up on saving Chocola and Froggy halfway through team rose's story in Sonic Heroes, but unfortunately this is overshadowed by her annoying, obsessive affection more often then not. I get that a character having flaws is a good thing, but Amy's obsessive crush on Sonic is a flaw that can at times throw anything likeable about her out of the window (like in the previously mentioned Free Riders). I honestly think there is a lot of unutilized potential in Amy's character which could develop by letting her get over her unhealthy feelings while she would still have her flaws unrelated to her crush on Sonic (she's ditzy, reckless and about as hotheaded as Knuckles if not even more so).
Also, why would you think someone who hates this ship as much as i do would ever try to get anywhere near fanart of it? I ignore it as much as possible (tho it's rather annoying how much it pops up when looking around at other Sonic art).
