1. What is their name? (How is this pronounced?)
Rut Oren, pronounced exactly how it’s spelled I guess? She was named Rut by her birth mother, but the last name was given to her at the orphanage.
2. Who are they exactly?
An orphan girl born and raised in Tusa. She’s tough and stubborn, but very maternal. For a few years she’s been working as a maid/housekeeper for an army officer, but now she is travelling to Bratkowice in search of her father.
3. How do they typically spend a day?
Now, travelling, but before that she would get up early to get breakfast made for her boss and his son, then after they’re off, doing the dusting, laundry, and whatever else needs taken care of around the house. When she’s finished with her duties she’ll walk around the marketplace and visit the orphanage. Then she’ll return home, make dinner, and then relax for the rest of the evening.
4. What language(s) do they speak? If they could learn another, what would it be?
Common and Vikasa. She'd want to learn Bratiban, since apparently it's the language of her people.
5. How fit or healthy are they?
About average with health. She does a lot of walking so she’s a bit above average in fitness.
6. What is their current romantic and/or sexual orientation?
Heterosexual
7. What did they want to be when they were a child? Did these aspirations go anywhere as they grew up?
When she was little she always wanted to be a dancer like the street performers, with their beautiful beaded costumes and graceful motions. As she grew up she realized that street performers generally lived on the street as well, and her dream eventually died.
8. How good are they at swimming?
She has no idea how to swim, considering she's lived in a desert her whole life
9. What about their cooking skill? Who usually makes their meals, themselves or someone else?
She’s a fantastic cook! She always cooks for herself, and her boss. Sometimes she makes special treats for the orphanage kids.
10. What are they attracted to or repulsed by in other people?
She likes people who are confident and have strong convictions. Positive people are also a big plus. To her apathy is completely repulsive, and pessimists are annoying.
11. What is their sleep schedule like?
She generally gets a decent amount of sleep, going to bed around 10 or 11 and getting up at 5.
12. How well do they tolerate spicy food?
Very well, it's a staple of her diet.
13. What’s on their bucket list?
See the ocean, travel to Koben, see peace in Tusa, find her father, ride in an airship, see a dragon, own a horse
14. What is their money management like?
Very good. She didn't have much money growing up so she's very careful with what she has now.
15. How do they show love or appreciation?
She's not an overtly affectionate person, so it's mostly in little ways. Going out of her way to talk to them, giving small gifts, sitting close, trying to take care of/mother them, things like that.
16. How do they handle anger?
Not well, she’s got quite the temper if you get her mad enough. Rut’s started and ended more than a few fights.
17. What are some of their opinions on different cities and religions?
She’s not a very religious person herself, so she believes everyone has a right to believe what they want. As far as cities go, she'd love to visit any of them, especially Koben. To her it sounds like a fairy tale.
18. How would they behave at a party?
Probably chat with people she knows and dance a little. She'd be happy to talk to new people if they approach her first, but wouldn't go out of her way to meet new people.

Honestly, a nice glass of ice cold water. Or sometimes a cup of tea.

Cats. They're adorable and cuddly without being overly needy.

She was once given a very tiny bottle of Song Luan perfume that smelled like cherry blossoms, and she thought it was the most beautiful smell in the world

On her stomache, sprawled out.

Something cool and loose fitting. She hates wearing shoes

Warm but a bit cloudy
28. Hobby?
Cooking. She loves trying out new recipes
29. Place to hang out?
On the market place. It's always so busy and full of new and exciting things

Sit on the windowsill and watch the stars while eating some tasty comfort food.

Bread and butter

She calls people “sweetie” a lot, but sometimes it's sarcastic
33. Mode of transport?
Usually just walking, but if she has the opportunity to ride in a carriage or on a horse she’d jump at it.
What would your character do if:
34. A child tried to pickpocket them and failed?
Give them a smack and tell them nothing good comes of thieves. Then probably take the child home and give them a good meal.
35. It started raining very heavily and the only nearby shelter was a stranger’s umbrella?
She'd just stand in the rain, it would probably feel good after the desert heat.
36. They noticed a scorpion on their chest?
Sigh, calmly remove it and throw it outside. These things happen.
37. They noticed a scorpion on someone else’s chest?
Calmly tell them it was there, and advise them not to panic
38. A guard told them they were under arrest and asked them to come quietly without an explanation?
Demand an explanation and probably get dragged off kicking and screaming.
39. They found themselves barefoot, unarmed and penniless in an unknown city, with absolutely no recollection of how they got there?
Freak out for awhile, but then try to find someone who looks friendly to help. Someone had to have seen her arrive.
40. One of their friends or relatives came crying to them in the middle of the night?
Hug them, make them some tea, and listen to them talk about whatever was troubling them. Then she’d give them her advice and let them stay the night.
41. Someone punched them at a bar?
Punch them right back, even harder
42. They saw a stray kitten wandering on the street and a speeding carriage heading straight towards it?
Jump into the road to save the kitten, then chase down the driver to give them a piece of her mind.
43. They were very hungry but the only edible things available were some live snails, unidentified mushrooms and moonshine?
Feed the snails the mushrooms and wait to see what happens.

No. She's had a couple crushes, but never anything meaningful.
45. How single and ready to mingle are they at the moment?
Very single, but not looking to mingle unless someone special comes a long.
46. Have they ever killed or seriously hurt someone?
She's broken two noses, but nothing worse than that.
47. Who is the most important person (or people) in their life right now?
Cyrus, her boss, who has become like an older brother. Also Madame Deboo, the woman who runs the orphanage. She's the closest thing Rut ever had to a mother.
48. What is something they deeply regret?
Almost robbing Cyrus. She still feels guilty about it frequently.
49. Are they a virgin?
Yup. Only ever kissed a boy once.
50. Do they have any secret bad habits?
She likes to sit in really high places, which is probably dangerous.
51. Have they ever been drunk or high? What are or would they be like if they were?
She was drunk a couple times as a kid, when the other kids managed to sneak some alcohol. She's a sloppy drunk and just falls over herself and babbles incoherently.

Probably make me bring her to Aurek.
53. In real life, where would your character live and what would their job be?
I'm not sure where she’d live, probably in some big city like New York. She’d be attending culinary school.
54. If your character could read other characters’ applications like resumes, who would they pick out as acceptable roommates?
This one was so tricky, but I think she and Lentia would have a lot of fun together.
55. What other characters in the group would you never ever want your character to fight against, and why?
Probably the same as all my other characters, the final tier mages are some scary people. Also any children, she could never hurt a child.
56. Which city leader would you like to take your character on a magic carpet ride?
Probably the Yazgur, so they could discuss the reality of Tusa’s problems without resorting to trying to kill everyone. *COUGHS AT BOTH SIDES*
