This ring was designed for a friend of mine. I have one with cockroaches, she liked the design but wanted bees instead. They are a yellow jacket and a honey bee. The ring is two solid sterling silver cast insects with sterling silver band.

I price these at $75...if I could find pre-cast insects I could make these for much less. Then again you lose something when you don't make the transition from something you found into metal yourself. I like being able to create these start to finish, the casting process is somewhat primitive however and at times you lose some, if not all of the detail...not to mention the pitting from the carbon leftover from an organic burnout....whew, problems galore, but aesthetically pleasing to me. Personally I prefer to rough casting.
