Here is a heap of cast lobster cockroachs. These are all cast in sterling silver and I have used them for various jewelry projects. Sorry for the low quality photo of these.Related content

I actually raise the roaches I use in my jewelry. I use the ones that die of natural causes and create castings of them. However I do not own lobster roaches anymore because they are hard to control and are a potential pest species in warmer climates. I do raise Blaberus fusca, Blaberus giganteus, and Blaptica dubia roaches. All are very beautiful, very easily cared for, non-pest species, and make wonderful pets.

I have several hundred, so naming them is a little hard. Haha. I did name my 6 scorpions (3 different species) though...well my Centruroides vittatus just had babies, so I have 12 more currently, lol.

Have many "Bob"s and "Fred"s? Or are the names more unique if you ever do name them? How do you tell them apart? Do you tie little bows around them? xD
