The Cuthbert House Inn, located in Beaufort, South Carolina, is an antebellum mansion overlooking the Beaufort River, part of the Carolinas’ Intracoastal Waterway. It was built around 1805 as the summer retreat for the Cuthbert family, who were wealthy plantation owners. The home has sheltered many generations and is today a magnificent bed and breakfast, the Cuthbert House Inn.
