Ahh actually for a more chubby character I feel her neck is perfect where it is now.
This is my own opinion. I mean, I never took any anatomy classes, but I have studied some.
Also, Necks come in all kinds of thickness'
So I dont think that myself <:
I might not be the perfect person to ask though since all my characters have freaking straw thin necks xD
They wouldnt even be able to live if they were real but be trying to gasp for air XDDDD
But when I look at your characters, they are very believable.

I never noticed that your necks look thin! I mean anatomy isn't everything... if it doesn't immediately jump out to the viewer as wrong a thin neck could make the head look bigger which makes it look cuter! You just have to find a balance between exaggeration and believability that you like uwu
and yeah different necks for different people is true! I just didn't want her head and shoulder's to look like someone with a different body type, you know?

I agree completely ;u;
I definitely need to work more on my anatomy.
I think maybe its my love for thin necks that makes me blind to this.
But I think the way it goes outward would make it believable for her weight.
Hopefully my input helped in any way~
I do have a few anatomy sites bookmarked on my old phone.
