Graphite on Bristol with Digital ColorsDuring a recent signing at a Library (I love librarians who love comic books) a particular group of kids stopped by for an autograph. I asked one little girl what her favorite book to read was... and she said "Pink Delicious".
I fought the urge to laugh with all my might, and asked her adult if maybe I heard it wrong. Her beautiful Mom saw what I was thinking in my eyes, and giggled when confirming that yes there is an actual children's book by that title... and she loves it!
Well, this pic has NOTHING to do with that in any way shape or form, but the name stuck with me... so without further ado... I give you: Pink Delicious... Franchesco Style!

Loving the classy tentacles (and even though she's in distress, she seems to be rather enjoying it), and you get bonus points for the chuckle-worthy story. I'm wondering if it's an indie book, though, because I went looking and can't seem to find it.

Yeah, see I have the urge to google it too now. What I came to find out today from one of the great Deviants here, is that the series of books is called Pinkalicious ...but when the little girls said it, I heard "pink delicious" instead. Watch, the next time I am in a book store, and when I least expect it, will come across the book, and I will burst out laughing, and folks will think I lost my mind or something.
