Ah Snake, you know I love you and all but... let us be realistic for once: you are lucky that Raiden is on your side or else he would kick your arse into the 5th dimension. Sorry love.

I played Bayonetta and it's the same thing.

Actually, no. It is not the same thing.
I love Snake and my former statement stands. If Raiden and Snake were enemies and engaged in combat, there is no way Snake would last for more than five minutes.
Accept the truth and the natural flaws of great characters.
That is all.

Snake had no trouble taking on Grey Fox who was just as capable as Raiden but with less of the stupid brake dancing cyborg gimmick. I get the disturbing idea that you are suffering from the twin delusions that Revengeance was a good game and Raiden is an interesting character.

Oh, waw! I've been arguing with a hypocrite, after all.
Very well, one last try. From here on, I will ignore your future messages.
Grey Fox was defeated by Rex's crushing weight (had you paid attention to MGS1 you would know that).
Raiden held off the weight of the whole Arsenal Gear with his back and a sword stuck in his foot. Do you even know how extensive Arsenal is? It is no MGRex; it's a war submarine that houses at least a dozen Ray and a lot of UGs (not to mention the rest of its arsenal). If I had to take a quick guess (which I don't need to, because I am not blind) I'd say, in combat, Grey Fox wouldn't stand a chance against Raiden.
Look here. You obviously dislike Raiden's character and that is completely fine. He didn't click with you, I get it. But you cannot simply ignore his capabilities and skill just because you don't like him.
It is only natural that Raiden is stronger and faster. Think a little and you'll understand.
Both Grey Fox and Raiden are good characters (even if Raiden is more developed) and you should let that hate go and look at things objectively.
P.S. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was, according to a big portion of the gaming community, one of 2013's best games. It was fun, it was silly, and absolutely hilarious. A proper Metal Gear game without the info-dumps.

Do you have evidence that says Grey Fox COULDN'T have done the same thing to Arsenal Gear? Didn't think so, not to mention once again that Snake could just chaff grenade Raiden and shoot him in the head. Snake's like Batman, with enough prep time he wins. Raiden is a complete copy and paste of Grey Fox's back-story and hell his whole gimmick as well (cyborg ninja). Raiden? Well developed?!?!? AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Β Yeah, no. In the first game his whole back-story (and therefore his character) was just a complete rip off of Grey Fox's. But while Grey Fox's characterization for the game was a tortured war veteran coming to terms with what he is. Raiden's was his annoying girlfriend bitching and moaning at him for an hour. Then he promptly fucks off Β and shows up as some broody emo cyborg in MGS4 with little to no explanation other thn some expository dialogue with how he wondered the globe and some time in the past helped rescue Sonny off screen. The transformation from pussy whipped rookie, to break dancing robot is something that you need to establish and show the audience in order for it to be seen as good. But not Kojima is desperate for people to think Raiden is cool and it's gotten to the point where he is basically a gary-stu.
But no Hideo Kojima (who makes it very obvious he's never talked to another human being except for maybe at blockbuster when he goes to rent more bad anime and action movies) cannot write a good character to save his life. The story of every metal gear game is ludicrous and stupid, the dialogue is so pretentious and preachy that I gagged when the game took a break from making poop jokes and tried to be serious. Worst of all the fanbase who take the series so serious and seem to think it was a well written character drama about war, give me a break.
Revengeance was a terrible game and I don't care what the gaming community said. The gaming community will always talk about how Call of Duty s one of the greatest modern series of our time despite it's continual slope down shit mountain. Revengeance's story was laughable bad (once again not surprised since it is a metal gear game). The character development for Raiden, you know the driving force behind the plot was static, forced, and non-nonsensical (sorry platinum but you don't get to build a game around dicing people up with a sword then make me feel bad about it) also I refuse to invest in a story that expects me to laugh at some idiot dressing in a sombrero then angsting about killing people. Find a tone for your story and stick with it. The gameplay was just typical platinum schlock, press buttons until everything one screen is dead without any thought into how you fight.Β
Not to mention the forced and out of place "stealth" sections which have Raiden aerial flipping onto dude who seem to have have unhealthy fascinations with staring at walls for extended periods of time. Not to mention these stealth sections serve no purpose other than to break up the pacing of the game and make the game staff seem bipolar in what they wanted the core gameplay aspects of the game to be. Speaking of pacing that's also shit in terms of storytelling and gameplay, after fight a fucking metal gear in the first chapter there's nothing that can really top that and the everything else is so underwhelming, the game basically shot it's load to early. I thought I be spending a good portion of the game fighting giant enemies but most of them are just normal human sized enemies and for a game that sells itself as an action packed thrill ride it was pretty lame, like a poor man's ninja gaiden.Β
So no Rising Revengeance, was a terrible game.
