The clouds looks like subliminal chemtrails... anyway the painting is nice.

Not ordinary at all, though it may lack the delightful fantasy of some of your other pieces.Β There is a sense of peace and natural beauty in this - the colour palette is well-balanced to create that serenity - yet a feel of accessibility and human scale.Β And the water tempts one to go skinny-dipping or at the very least hang one's feet in!Β Β Β Β (Bard Judith on FB, Santharia, and many other places)

Awesome landscape Frank! If you don't mind I'll leave a little critique ^^. First thing that jumped to my eyes is the lack of depth in some shadows, considered the kind of light and the direction I think that some shadows (especially those of the cliff placed on the right) could be darker. Β The composition looks pretty good but there are some things that breaks it imo, for example the relation between the clouds and the mountains on the left. They tend to create a sort of conflict in term of flow with the mountains pointing up-right and the cloud going left. Hope this can be helpful. Keep up the amazing work

Hey, thank you very much for this critique!
I didnΒ΄t even realizise the flow of the cloud. And now this jumps in my eyes heavily.

The best way to learn to paint something is to user references and study them.
I have problems with buildings, so I search for some photos and try to paint it.
