Description
I dunno, it's a cross between a fennec fox and an opossum. Lots of stuff to figure out about these but I thought it was cute. And something non-homestuck for a while.

Some notes:

While they are at home on the ground and can dig as well as a fox they spend just as much time in the trees. Their little claws can break apart the bark of trees and their long tongues are good for pulling grubs out of holes and getting all the sticky sap they love to lick. As a marsupial, they have a pouch and carry their babies in there until they're weaned. Afterward they stay in safe nests in the trees, or a den in the hollow of a tree or hole in the ground. They are found in forested terrain across to plains. A favorite prey item of hawks and eagles. Roughly the size of a large cat.

They always have light colored bodies from an off white to a walnut brown. Their faces are always darker than the rest of them but the pattern is different from one critter to the next. Their tails are always dark except for the tip which is an off white used for signaling others and threat displays.
