Description
It's gotten harder these days
Summer is here again
Long fade the hours
Farewell to the carefree
I've kept my peace
Paid my dues, even
But you see, I cannot accept
I want what was left
Maybe instead I should be happy
The days grow shorter in this summer
Time draws closer
Than ever before
Yet, my mind worries
My heart battles the thoughts
So whom is it that decides the winner?
I know in my soul already
Fear I think, is what holds me back
I know how to let go
But I'm holding on fast
It's time to forget
I'm ready for love
To give my eager share
Maybe I'm still waiting
Still learning how to receive

I'm not even a poetry person and I enjoy this. I love the two middle stanzas so much.
<3 FEAR SUCKS.

I really like the tone of this, I wish it was longer? At the moment the style and flow are so good but the subject matter is perhaps a little too vague?

Thank you for the comment. Yeah it is a bit vague. It's more or less a way of helping me to get my thoughts out and help myself. It's more for me really than anyone else. You know how a baby has it's security blanket? Well poems are my way of getting rid of that security blanket so I can make myself stronger. Really helps to get rid of thoughts.
BUT all in all, it's mainly about my own fears and being afraid of not knowing.
