Description
edit : added the tricolour coat (fav.me/da9oul5 ) , found the name and finished the standard. If you see english or genetics mistakes, please tell me !
So here are my babiiiiesss. I think I will keep the light-brown-sable example as a dog for my new kennel because arhhh I don't know but she's too pretty I can't let her go asrftgv
Open / closed breed ? How to get one ? For the moment the breed is closed because I need to think what I want to keep or not in the standard, but when everything will be 100% ready, the breed will be open for a few weeks so you can make your very own kooikie-cutie ! And i will do Draw To Adopt before that so you will be given the chance to parade with those babies. My english is awful right now SORRY ASEFRVRG

The Riverain Spaniel is a spaniel-type breed of dog of Dutch and French ancestry. Breed from kooikerhondjes and papillons spaniels, this breed was made to create a medium-sized dog with the will-to-please of shepherds and the calm and not obsessive behaviors of the kooiker. The result is a stable dog that fits nicely in dog sports, especially in obedience and agility where they slowly but surely steal first places to shetlands sheepdogs.
Appearance
The Riverain spaniel is a medium dog, that comes in all shades of brown, from sable to chocolate. with a long white plumed tail. The preferred height at the withers is 18 to 19 inches for males and 17 to 18 inches for females. The bone and substance of the Riverain is moderate. The head should be in proportion to the dog. The expression is gentle and alert. Ears should be red in color and well feathered and ideally adorned with darker earrings. The color for coat should be predominately brown and may be patched or solid on pure white although a few small spots on the legs are acceptable.
Temperament
Friendly, good natured, quiet, well-behaved, and alert; those are terms that are used to describe the spaniel. Being a descendant of papillons and phalenes, the breed have lost of the spaniels abilities to become a sport-oriented dog. Depending on its domestic environment, they are intelligent, attentive and more than willing to please their owner. More flashy and energetic than their cousin, the kooikerhondje, the Riverain needs something to do and can't be only a family dog - he has a medium-high energy level, yet is usually quiet when indoors.

Hello! Mondial-Kennel-Club would like to know if you would like for us to approve of the Epangneul Riverain , so others can register their dogs with us? And if you want, any breed specific titles can be earned in the club too. Also, this breed doesn't have to be Kennel-Club approved to be in our group!

Pretty babies! & I like the name~
but if you're really looking for something similar you could always just alter the spelling of Kooike(something like Kookei-, Keikoo-, Koikai-, etcetc).. Tho I'm not sure of the pronunciation so those could all be way off mark XD
