Description
What the heck? A species change? Well, a lot of furries like to have a bit of choice in their lives. I fancied being another one of my favourite animals for a change
Kangaroos were my fave animals when I was 8, and still are high up there today! As you can see I've retained my hair, my 'socks' and my sexy blue scarf. I had thought about the classic check shirt instead, but I like scarves more 
Plus, thanks to LupusNic for giving me the idea for what this pic would be called XD

yeah, my sona is just a red fox x3 nothing too fancy. however, rather than a species change, its a pattern in the fur that changes. White markings are dyed into the fur, and when they fade away, i dye a new pattern in :3

Well, it's more of an alternate fursona as opposed to proper speies change. I'm still defaulting as a fox, and that's how it is ^^.

Ages ago - I noticed your "Transfurmation" artwork where you as a human being had turned into a kangaroo and now this. Same hairstyle, same wardrobe, different species. Nice work.
It seemed that you had used the magic powers from the legend of the fox in Japan to transform your fox species into a kangaroo species. As well as the magic powers from the legend of the tanuki (raccoon dog) in Japan. I first learned about the legend of the tanuki (raccoon dog) and the fox in Japan from having watched the "Pom Poko" anime cartoon movie on DVD six years ago. Coincidentally - I've considered to get my characters to do that fox and tanuki legend thing as well. E.g. Jasper the Raccoon in Canada turns into a human being and Alex Fox in Australia turns into Bert Raccoon. Not to mention my last year's artwork of me as a human being turning into a furry and calling myself Alex Fox.
When I was 10 - the kangaroo was my number one favourite animal. The emu was my number two favourite animal. It happened when I moved with my family into a colonial-architecture type house in the suburb south of Brisbane which had the Australian Coat of Arms artworks above two bedroom doors leading from the lounge room and the dining room. It inspired me to draw the kangaroo and the emu and a few other Australian animals and make my very own comic books about them. When I was 11 - I then saw a few cartoons of kangaroos wearing scarves. It was really cool.
The kangaroo is still one of my favourite animals along with my top three favourite animals at this present day - 1. Wolf; 2. Raccoon; 3. Fox.

I don't have a set top 5 or top 10, save for fox being in at #1. But then in the top ten theres all kinds ^^.
I love the kangaroos that appeared in Disney films like "Bedknobs And Broomsticks" (a good anthro-feral crossover like what I've done), "The Rescuers Down Under", "Dumbo" and others. Emus are cool too. Regarding scarves, I've loved them since my late teens, and made it part of my character's design as an alternative outfit the blue check shirt - I have Ralph from "The Raccoons" to thank for that one

Yes. I watched "Dumbo" in the movie cinema in Brisbane and "Bedknobs And Broomsticks" on VHS too - during the days I lived in the house with the Australian Coat of Arms artworks inside the house. I saw the preview of "The Rescuers Down Under" but not all of it.
