Description I was really chuffed with this photograph because there was so much against me. This was taken at the zoo - it was behind glass (thankfully), no flash, dark area and i was quite pleased with this result. Although the face does look a little out of focus. What do you think?

Yep, really yellow! Haven't done anything to the picture - other than cropped it. It was a little brighter in real life tho - but i couldn't get it that bright without a flash.

Pretty neat pic! The colors are reall interesting!! Face foes seem a hair soft, but with all the elements working against you ya can't complain.

Cool! !

Niiice! I love the DOF on this one, and of course the bright yellow color. The head seems a little out of focus, yes, but not botheringly so. Maybe you could try to fix it with Photoshop and an unsharp mask if it bothers you. But again, I don't think you need to

i could alter in psp - but.............. i prefer to try and take a better shot and not manipulate. and........... it means i will just have to take another trip to the zoo

thank you - that's really good coming from the master of macro - big thank you.

I went to Bristol zoo. It used to be concrete pens years ago, with lots of large animals - now it is full of foliage and plants and very beautiful - and only the smaller animals (other than a breeding pair of Asian Lions). Gosh, all that information from just asking where it was

Actually... I would also like to state that it's rather amusing how he appears to be staring straight at the camera, posing, just waiting for you to snap the picture so he can bounce off somewhere else.

yeah, and he did bounce of pdq onto another stick! There were so many of them in the tank i was lucky to get one on its own!

The colors are awesome. I love how he's in focus as well as his stick... while everything else sorta fades out. Beautifully done, truly.

thanks for your comment. yeah i agree it is busy in the background - unfortunately it is the back of the tank they were all in. I don't like to alter my photos at all - other than cropping - so left it as it was. I guess i could have cropped it a bit more. It is nice to get constructive feedback - thank you
