Very cool. Motorcyclist's goggles, indicating he might be from a motorcycle recon unit or Panzergrenadier unit. MP40 magazine pouches but with no visible Y-straps for support (further strengthening the fact that as an MGunner, he's not supposed to carry any other weapon aside from a personal defense weapon, e.g. a pistol or gear aside from cleaning kit, spare barrel, ammunition). Uniform seems early war issue (another giveaway being the full-length marching boots rather than shorter war economy issue) despite the MG42, so he must be in Occupied Europe rather than the Eastern Front on maneuvers?
Very nice touch is the fact he's carrying a magazine can, or is it full of tools and cleaning kit for his MG?

He looks the way he does for very good reasons; I didn't bother to do any research and I wasn't concerned about historical accuracy. I was, however, concerned about how cool the finished image would look.
