Having fun with style changes.It's easy to exaggerate the guys but not the girls. kinda sucks.

This is absolutely amazing. Once i say your gallery i instantly became in love with your artwork. The characters, the colors, the styles...everything is just amazing work. Your art reminds me alot of Gravity Falls artwork with a great hint of nime to it, i dont know why, ats what i get from your art. Thas such a perfect blend of style and techniqe that I bet it hooks evryone to it the minute they see it. I cant help but wonder, i feel like ive seen your artwork before, your artwork wouldnt have happenedto be in a tutorial book or anything? Becuase a few of these characters from your lineup looks deathly familair. Its the internet, theres alot of great artists. I once again thankyou for bringing this style for all to see. Gravity Falls is awesome, definitely a better comparison than the other thing I ALWAYS get.

I do like how even the two that are meant to look really similar have differences in more than just the props and colors. Mark of good design, in my opinion.

Although it's probably really subliminal (probably should make it more evident) but I made the orange haired girls breasts and hips, bigger, and made her taller than the blue haired, since orange is better in every way pretty much.
I also put her in a tomboyish shirt, and bell bottom pants to add visual similarity to the main character, showing he relates to her better than blue hair.

You know why it's harder to design the girls is because we have it drilled into our skulls that all female characters should be pretty, and so we're afraid to exaggerate more. Check out the main cast of Princess Jellyfish here: [link]
There's not even that much exaggeration, but there's a lot of variety because they were never trying to make the characters attractive, just full of character.
...I feel like this comment is leass relevant than at first I thought, but it's still something to keep in mind.

Keep up, I love those cartoon-ish styles, they're different from what I see in d.A (kawaii desu girls/boys, not that it is a crime to draw those type of things, it's just that a lot of people draw that - including me DX).

Yeah, anime type styles in general focus WAYYYY too much on idealism, and it's actually ALL it rides on I think.
There's not much character in idealism.
Disney, Pixar, dreamworks. they all know it, that's why most all of their characters are zany as heck. haha

They all look either angry, bored, or derp. But I like the character designs, they're all very distinct from one another which is something you hardly ever see anymore.
