Full spin montage of Nightmare Rarity Sculpt.This was a damn fun piece to work on.
Nightmare Rarity is from the the MLP comics published by IDW
Stands about 7 inches tall.
Made from supersculpey over a wire armature and painted in acrylics.

That is just absolutely fantastic.
I love all the movement and waves in her mane/tail.
Is she based off a particular panel in the comic? And did you do a sketch of her first and how you wanted all that mane/tail to flow, or did you just go by ear as you were making her?
Also kinda curious to how long she took to sculpt.

I tend not to do sketches because I usually can't get the idea down on paper very well. For the mane and tail I just 'went with the flow' and did what looked right.
She took about 3 weeks from start to finish.
