Description
Wanted to do this since I have a few different ones (especially compared to most artists on this site, I dunno it seems usually people stick with the one style plus, maybe, a chibi one), and I wanted to have a thing with one character (here we have Allison) in all them so I could look an compare. For the most part things like shading and line are barely different, it's more like form... or whatever you call it I'm no art scholar dude
"Ignis": Named for my Ignis series (it's where it started, plus right now it's the only series I have with the style incorporated). The one style I have that leans towards being more realistic (though it's still more inbetween). Eyes are a bit more stylized, not just the plain circle-type shape, and noses are longer. This style I only draw humans in, no anthro-type characters. Also, along with the "Other" style, lines aren't as thick.
"SDotM": Named for my Small Dot on the Map series, where the style started and by now my oldest style that I still use. Has a more round look, more curves and typically a springy look. Eyes are not a closed circle, and eyelashes are normally drawn as connected shapes than lines (though for some designs this isn't the case, such as with Olivia the wolf). Pretty cartoony style, and I use thick lines for this more often. I draw both humans and anthros in this style.
"Other": Named so because... Well the series I use this style for don't have a name yet (they're underdeveloped at the moment) so I dunno what do you want from me
"Smol Chibi" and "Tol Chibi": Sometimes shortened to "Smol Cheeb" and "Tol Cheeb." The main difference between these two are height, though with "Tol Cheeb" the characters have these weird, stubby fingers while "Smols" have only stubs. These are extra style I can draw any of my characters in, usually used for drawing characters in really goofy or possibly out-of-character situations. That, or I just wanna draw somethin' real cute. Thicker lines are almost always used. I tend to vary on whether I draw the heads as just circle-shapes, or more square-like (sometimes it just depends on the character.)
"Pointy Chibi": Haven't drawn this one in a long time, but it's worth a mention I think. Probably inspired by the "Pointy Ponies" from My Little Pony. Just simple little chibis, very teeny and doodly, they look like little collectible figurines.
And hey, while I'm in the anylyzing mood, here's a little explanation of my starting sketches.

That is a cool exercise in drawing styles and gives us a little insight, thank you! =^^=

Thanks and no prob
It helps me design-wise to be able to point out the differences.

Interesting, I wouldn't have caught onto the differences with non-chibis.

All are good. But I feel like there’s not enough difference between Ignis and Small Dot on the Map. Like maybe if she had a bit less head and neck and a bit more shoulder.
