Why aren't you buying her a drink?I've been wanting to make this for months, but I always seem to have a commission now. Did you know that Samus is officially over 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds? No? Well neither did I until last November. Seriously, she doesn't look any heavier than 150 in the games. So, I decided to draw Samus with a look fitting of a 200 pound amazon, and with a more classic undersuit. I don't know why they replaced this with the new Zero Suit. I especially don't understand why Team Ninja turned her into a Barbie doll.
EDIT: Changed her bicep to make it more natural looking. Added some shine to her suit.

This is the first muscle pic I've done where I don't feel like I exaggerated the character's body for once. Samus' height and weight definitely don't match her official art. It reminds me of stuff like Siegfried from Soul Calibur (5'4", 112 lbs?!) or Bane in Batman Arkham City (9'2", 350 lbs?!). Artists really need to go look up athletes before they decide what a character's height and weight is.
Giant Samus is totally up my alley right now, but I really need to get to work on a growth sequence commission.

Hrm.. yeah, however, I think its just to cater to normal people. if they did manage to make her that muscular as described by their own explanation of how her physique should be.. there might be some people or groups out there that will probably just make a loud announcement or to expose it on media....

Capcom doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Did you see Chun Li for Street Fighter 5? Plenty of people were saying that she looked pretty and was a big improvement over SF4, but all I saw was pure muscle fetish in a triple-A game.

Actually I have thought at a number of accasions that your new submissions was his, due to how similar some of them appear (due to the cartoonish style, color included) in the thumbnails. Like I wrote, he has a problem with non-straight angles, something he apparently had with straight angles as well at some point (as attested by old submissions). Sure, zoomed/closeups look different in style, but in thumbnails I've been mistaking a couple of times.
