Personality:

Pathetically accident prone. He honestly tries his absolute best at everything, but he tends
to do more harm than good. It starts off with a small mistake, which makes him
nervous, which makes him clumsier, leading to more problems, followed by more
problems…etc. Socially he’s pretty sweet, if not overly anxious to make a good
impression. Given practice and time, a LOT of time, he’ll calm down and figure
things out.

Skills:
Most goblin magic revolves around fire (God help us). Luckily when it comes to
magic he’s extremely careful not to physically harm anybody, even if it means
burning himself.
Like most animals, he can see in the dark if there’s just a bit of light, like stars
or candles, but not in absolute darkness.
Even in cold weather his body heat remains warm.

History:
In his childhood village, life for goblins was all about bashing each other’s
brains out for pride and power. It didn’t take Xi long to realize that as a
scrawny little guy, he wasn’t going to make it. So he fled and looked for work
elsewhere. Unfortunately most people assume that as a goblin he’s only out to
destroy their property. Those who gave him a chance found that their property
got destroyed anyway. Running out of options, not to mention self-esteem, he
stumbled into the Magic Shoppe by chance. When he learned of the apprentice
status he began to hope again—perhaps if he could learn to better control his
fire magic he could be of some use.

Other:
His hands are charred, burned, blistered, and overall just gruesomely black from
his previous attempts to create fire without hurting anyone. He wears extended
sleeves to cover them, mostly because he’s embarrassed of them, but also
because he fears what others will think of him if they see him with them. He’ll
roll up his sleeves only when practicing magic; during those times he prefers
to be around as few people as possible both for his embarrassment and safety
reasons.
He’s also carnivorous and eats meats raw, so he won’t eat any bread, sweets, fruits,
veggies…etc. Fun fact: he was once fired from a job because he ate the house
cat which he mistook for a stray.
