It just looks like the labia's being spread apart with something or at the least something is pushing between the labia, generally just looks unnatural. Maybe that looks natural to most others and I'm on the differing side, it kinda looks like a flesh coin, all flat and spread out like that. Power Points, because the Female Sexual Organ is comparable to a Power Point in Electricity, i.e. the - Point, as is the Male Sexual Organ (the + Point).
I see the Artist refering to this as a methaphorical contemplation upon Sexuality, and the tension between Male and Female, that is the same tension that makes electricty go round. The same electricity powers the screen you and I are looking upon right now. The screen for itself is functioning by showing light, of different colours and shades. Even though it is really just light, we recognize it as a Picture of a Woman, which again creates something that makes us react in a powerful way.
By this, the artist has drawn out a line of Thought between Sexuality, Electricity and Light and From Light back to Power (Reaction) and Sexuality.
We find the Same line in Spiritual Traditions, for example in India, where the main forces that move the world are seen as a dance between Female and Male Forces, i.e. Shiva and Shakti, i.e. Energy and Conciousness.
I applause the artist for this powerful and thought provoking picture.
