This is beautiful, I love the colors and the overall feel of the work. I can almost smell the rain. Oh, and the creature is actually kind of cute, it looks like it's yelling "oww" because someone stepped (or stabbed) his toe.

Argh, one thing.
His shape is a bit... stiff; it's lacking the male/masculine form to it. Try to make his back more like a triangle (tip downwards), and then your pic is supreme.
