Mathew 27:27-28 Some of Governor’s soldiers took Jesus into their headquarters and called out the entire regiment. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on Him.

Christ was defaced and torn apart as the Roman soldiers stripped his clothing off. How many times do we take something beautiful that Christ has given to us grace, love,freedom and we deface it or mistreat it because of selfish desires. We humiliate Christ and what he did for us.

The word in Greek is “tapeinos” which means to be humiliated
