Wow! A muscle car with some '50's car influence! That's awesome! By the way I'm planning on designing a muscle car(s) with that influence too!

My best suggestion is to keep at it man. Just draw all the time. I am sure you have heard that before but just keep drawing and observe. Take notes and ask yourself how would I render that or draw that. When I was in school we drew over 30 pages of sketches a week plus 10-20 renderings a week. It really trains your mind to draw more natural and it becomes second nature.Just like a professional athlete trains constantly we have to do the same. Hope that helps so get back to drawing, lol. Take care man.

i know what you mean. i cringe a little when i see some of my early cartoon drawings that were published. really bad character drawings. but practice made it better.
as for cars, never went to school so never was grilled like you(sigh, i think). more like spent all my time i should be studying or paying attention to my job to draw cars on the go. your advice is much appreciated.

In the book I just did, it comes with a CD and I show from sketch to rendering on how I work. I also go into some very basic guidelines that might help out a little. Check out my journal if you interested. Talk with you later.

Out of curiosity, a lot of your work has displays vehicles at unusual and interesting angles...
Do you work off of reference materials, or is this all coming straight from the imagination.

Some I am using refrence and others are out of my head. I usaully like to draw stuff with a little fish eye to it. In the past I have drawn some vehicles with a super fish eye, but that tends to warp the design so much you can't really tell what's going on. It can make a drawing more dynamic though. Thanks for checking out my stuff and commenting.
