thank you so much! i took both of those photos on the same trip. i don't take many self portraits, but i'm proud of this one because it's very hard to focus the sx-70, especially with the macro lens, without actually looking through the viewfinder, and without my tripod, too. i got lucky!
and the necklace--it says my name in arabic (i apologize if you read arabic and already know that.)

i got SO FRIED at the dead sea, where i've been in years past during july and wasn't burned--supposedly you don't burn there. that's how i know the ozone layer is f**ked, becuase i got burned at the dead sea, even with sunblock!
