Saddens me to hear Christopher Reeve died today , a big inspiration to me especially when I was about 4 years old when everytime I took off my dappy plastic national health glasses I thought could fly, I remember when first Superman movie came out. my Mum bought me the first ever Superman comic which was reprinted around the same time, wish I still had it. Over the years I kind of disliked Superman perhaps it's something to do with Dean Cane (total rubbish) or that skinny girly version of Clark Kent that's around now(even I could beat him at arm wrestling)or perhaps it's got something to do with Frank Millers Dark Knight version which depicted him as Reagans errands boy.The mid to late 80's bought out the cynic in everybody guess Superman for all his clean living had to pay the price at some point.Christopher Reeve had all the right ingrediants to play Superman, he was noble and a gentleman all the right inspirations to a four year old kid, now looking back I think his Clark Kent is the greatest as he is one of the most human characters to grace cinema screens. It is good to know that some people no matter how tough the odds are against them have the guts and the spirit to try and turn things around so he can help others I raise a glass to Christopher as he will be missed
