Description DCI Gene Hunt Mini Series Part 1 of 8-Criminal World

Page 1:
Frame 1:A indian Restauaraunt aerial view two smartly dressed men tuck into there meals waiters and waitresses are taking orders from other customers the two men are midway through negoations of some kind.
Lettering :The Eye of the Tyger Resturaunt Brixton April 21st  2008

Frame 2:

Side view of the two men at table to the right is quite clearly DCI Martin Summers whilst to his right about 10  years his juniour sits a well dressed Southern Asian Man wearing glasses and sporting a goaty beard

DCI Summers:"I'm 100% confident that I'll be able to provide you all the photogtraphs you need  by Monday

Frame 3:

Nasim Dolas: "You know I am amazed by how simple this operation has gone usually..."

Frame 4:

Nasim is interrupted by a waitress anyone eagle eyed would recognise her as Maya Roy Sam Tylers 2006 girlfriend but she's incognito at this time
side view of Summers and Dolas with Maya at centre of picture wondering if she can take anymore orders.

Maya: Anymore Drinks Sirs?

Dci Summers: "I must decline I'm driving"

Nasim Dolas:"Buisness before pleasure my dear"

Frame 5: Summers leaves The Eye of the Tyger exterior shot(including garish Logo artwork that highlights restuaraunt)  and walks into the night.

Frame 6: Back view of Summers he's been tailed by a young Asian man but that won't be clear till later.

Page 2:

Fame 7:

Summers reaches his Four Wheel Drive and motions for the door but he looks suspicious as he does so.

Frame 8: Summers sits in driver seat looking moody he's waiting for someone...

Frame 9: Maya taps on jeeps window window

DCI Summers: "Ahh Maya!"

Frame 10

Maya sits down on the passenger seat and converses with Summers
Summers:"I take it your shifts over"
Maya:"You know Martin this work reminds me of been a student all over again."

Frame 11:


Back view of four wheel drive as it embarks on it's journey the guy tailing  Summers is in foreground with back to reader mobile phone to ear

DCI Summers:" You done well tonight we got Dolas bang to rights .."

Frame 12: Asian man faces reader now talking into his phone as jeep drives further into distance..

Asian Tail :
"(Kill Them!) "(In Hindi)

DCI Summers:"He'll be in for a shock come Monday ,Customs boys will have a field day"

Frame 13:
Maya in passenger seat Summers is driving view through jeeps window

Summers: "But why Maya? a young girl like you ?these Tamils are nasty bastards y'know?"
Maya:"Why Special Branch is that what you're saying?

Frame 14:
Side view of Maya staring out of window looking somewhat sad
Maya"Maybe it was Sam .. my old boyfriend.."

DcI:"And Sam..?"

DCI Summers:"I really don't know sounds like you're runn...whats that?"

A  blinding headlight heads directly towards jeep view from dashboard
DcI Summers:" The Fecking Maniac!"

Frame 19:
The Jeep steers to avoid the motorcycle the rider is armed with a Uzi it's a close call but the danger is far from over

Frame 20:
The  rider pulls by jeep window and sideways his gun aims at the terrified passengers.
Frame 21:
Close up of rider as blasts ring out of his micro machine gunlight reflects on his helmets visor
Frame 22:
The bullets richochet around the inside of the jeep entering Maya and Summers bodies
Frame 23:
The Jeep loses it's driver and skids off the road onto the pavement
Frame 24:
The Four Wheel Drive crashes straight into a charity shop.The shop dummies are knocked over ..the female shop dummy is wearing a white biker jacket much like the one Alex Sports in Ashes there are two male dummies one in a 1970's style Black Leather Coat (like Sams) and the other dummie seems to be wearing Genes old Camel Coat After the impact of crash the window display isthrown into chaos

Page 5:

Frame 25:
The two occupants of the 4wd lay lifeless with there seatbelts fastened but bullet holes in various parts of there torsos, passers by  gather to see see the strange sight.
Frame 26:
Close Up of Summers bullet ridden motionless body but his hands are still limpley on the wheel

Frame 27:
Close up of Summers driving fully conscious and totally shocked to be driving at all his eyes widen the sky is orange with fire he is clearly not where or when he was seconds ago..


Super Mac:"Keep your hands on the wheel you idiot I don't want to be the first fatality of this riot!"

Frame 28:
Summers peers into rear view mirror to see not only Supertendant Mackingtosh(Super Mac) but also the bespectacled face of DCI Jim Keats who discuss Summers inaptitude
Jim Keats:"We're almost there so far so good"
Frame 29:

Exterior view of police car as a angry mob of black youths motion towards the Panda holding sticks bottles any makeshift weapon they can find .. the sky is orange and red from riotors throwing molotovs it's like a scene from hell

Jim Keats:"Keep a cool head and we'll get through this"

Frame 30:
The mob pile on car on the bonnet some strike windows ..Martin Summers freezes in shock he can't believe what he's seeing ..view from interior of car with mob on the outside .
Super Mac :"Drive You Fool"

Frame 31:

The Police Car is taking a real beating as more angry rioters smother the vehcile  in the forground one of the angry youths has produced a flaming bottle ..a moltov cocktail he is about to hurl it at the squad car , he yells to to his friends

Molotov Guy: Step Bobo gonna burn me some beasts wheels

Frame 32:
Big Sound effect SFX "SCCCRRREEECCCHH!"the sound makes the mob turn around including molotov guy lots of surpised expressions on there faces
Molotov Guy : "Wha'appen!?!"


Frame 33:"
Out of nowhere a brand new blue DeLorean DMC12  charges head first at the angry mob at breakneck speed one of the gull wing doors is open to reveal a  familiar figure riding shotgun from passenger seat...DCI Gene Hunt
Gene Hunt: "Drop that bottle of Babysham or I'll make you drink it!"

Frame 34:
Hunt leaps on top of Molotov Guy (flattening him  as he does)
Molotov Guy:"Rhaatid! "
Frame 35:
Genes cuffs the rioter but it's a struggle he yells to his comrades in arms..
Raymondo!Chris!I could do with your almighty pressence!

Frame 36:
Genes slugs another  rioter theres about 2 more on the ground k.o'd by his clunking fists  Ray wrestles with another as he has one head lock Chris Skelton wield s a trumpton the  majority of the mob retreat from the battered police car .Genes Deloreon both doors wide open is further up the road.
Gene Hunt:" Want To Riot I'll find you a nice cell We can have riotof our own Sonny Jim "
Ray Carling "Oi Chris Give him some stick!"

Frame 37:
The Trio stand (Gene natrually in the centre )Ray to his left Chris to his right. sorrunded by cuffed and unconscious Brixtionians

Jim Keats: "Bravo The Terrible Trio"

Frame 38:
Profile View of Keats and Hunt face to face Keats smirks
Gene Hunt :"Hows life in the Kremlin Jimbo?"
Jim Keats"Mustn't Grumble, I knew you'd come to the Carnival"

Frame 39: Chris has discovered a crate full of Molotovs by a shop doorway Chris crouchs over box and ponders Ray stands over him and retorts
Chris "Ere Guv they got a whole box of these"
Ray:"May we should bring it back to Luigi's should be a improvement on the poof juice he usually sells"

Frame 40:
Mackingtosh has joined Keats , Summers stands apart compleatly bewildered and speechless naturally he cannot believe his eyes Summers in foreground The other policemen talk in the distance
Super Mac: " Glad to see you Gene, saved our bacon , but what brings you out here?"
Gene "Well I figured Sir  seeing as I started this faracus only seemed fair I put a end to it"
Frame 41:

Super Mac:"I knew Operation Swamp was a disaster from the offset , bad community policing we must learn from this"

Without warning the DeLelorean explodes ignited by a projected Molotov sending Hunt Carling Skelton and Super Mac backwards big explosive panel.

Frame 43:
Hunts face is now demented with rage he's out for blood  his beloved spanking new DC12 is no more .. behind him Mac is dazed Carling looks behind him


Gene Hunt:""I'll give them Community Policing!"

Ray Carling" Ere'Where's that Keats bloke gone?"

Frame 44:
A dark backstreet  Keats rubber heels his way down the alley way Summers tentatatively follows like a lost child

Jim Keats :"We're off to see a dog about a man  "
Martin Summers:"Is this real?"

Frame 46:
Back view of Summers and Keats carrying a suitcase as they continue down alley a big black gate and white van is visable at end of street

Jim Keats"The Most real thing I've seen in my few years of policing "

The Two Policemen go through the gates towards the white van has the words Timothy Whites written on it (the store logo)


Jim Keats"Ahh there she blows"

Frame 47:
Keats and Summers arrive at door Keats presses buzzer
Jim Keats: "Let me do the talking only way you'll get home in one piece"

Frame 48:
Keats places ear to intercom he's removed his glasses

Jim Keats: "Nasim it's me "Old Scratch!""  

Nasimthrough intercom) OK

Frame 49:
The doors opens to reveal a nasty looking dread gun belt and bullet bandolier
Jim Keats:Yush Lion, Crucial Teeth !"
Nasty Dread:"Seen"

Frame 50:
Keats walks past guard but he blocks the entrance for Summers
Nasty Dread: "No Bald-Head Payaka!"
Keats:"Duppy"
Frame 51:
Summers passes the guard ..still none the wiser

Frame 52:

A resturaunt kitchen a Younger longer haired Nasim Dollas younger dressed , two more dreadlocked guards both armed with AK47'S also are present in the kitchen.
Keats and Summers have just entered the room, Keats gets straight down
to busisness.

Jim Keats: "I've come for my deposit !"

Dola's: "You have the Coil?"

Frame 53:
Keats hands Dolas his suitcase
Jim Keats: "Naturally"
Dolas: "Delroy!"

Frame 54: Delroy one of Dola's armed guards opens door reveal a white man in a biker jacket a big  balding skinhead Tiny Tim Rivens (from episode 8  series 2) he's freezing his balls off and ice white from been locked in freezer his hands are tied
Leroy: "Dundas"
The room erupts into laughter except Summers who's not clued up on Jamacian Patois(Dundas meaning Albino)

Page 10:
Frame 55:
Keats Waves goodbye to Dolas at the door Summers stares blankly whilst holding onto the freezing Tiny Tim
Nasim Dolas:"Always a pleasure doing Business Scratch"

Jim Keats"After tonight you can fix up the restuaraunt better than before with those Funds"
Frame 56:
Keats heads towards the van Summers trails behind him he wants a word
Martin Summers:" Inspector Keats..."

Frame 57:
Summers finally erupts he grabs Keats by the lapels and bashes him against the van , he is fuming!"
Martin Summers" What the Hell is this? Where am I ? What is this place .. I've read your Obituary .. "
Jim Keats:" Easy Summers this will go in my report if your not careful"
Frame 58:
Summers loosens grip as Keats regains composure
Keats:" Listen Martin you're crucial to this operation if anything goes astray you will never get back home "
Frame 56:
The van doors are now open exposing wooden boxes filled with firearms(words like m16 and smg are written on them  Tiny Tim is about to join them as Keats pulls lifts his frozen body to put him in the back
Keats:"Now give me a hand with you're "nephew" Uncle Pat "
Frame 57:

Keats sits in the passenger seat of van whilst Summers is at the wheel sneering

Summers: "Where to now James?"
Keats:"The Gate Post Pub , I think Tim here will have defrosted by then"

Frame 58:
Battleground Brixton a group of policemen with riot sheilds improvised missiles bouncing off them  advance, behind them without a riot sheild between them but slowly and surely walking through the carnage  Gene Hunt, Ray and Chris .Cars are turned upside down and theres signs of looting in shop windows people running off with televisions and racks of clothes


Gene Hunt: "Buggers killed my car  my wrath will be relentless!"

Frame 59: a projectile is hurled from the silouette of the angry mob it has a firey tail yet another molotov

Frame 60:

The bottle shatters exploding into a wall of flames the riot police duck behind there sheilds Ray and Chris crouch down too..but Gene continues his stride undaunted .

Frame 61:
Close up of Gene fuming  Chris just behind him he fumbles for something in his Jacket pocket

Gene:" Right thats it !Chris you still got that SodaStream on you ?"

Chris:"Yes Guv"

Frame 62:

Almost same picture except Gene now has bottle with cloth stuffed down it's neck this time to his right Ray with fag in mouth he reaches for his zippo

Gene: Gotta a light Ray "
Ray Carling"Sure Thing Boss!"

Frame 64:
Gene  Hurls the flaming bottle over the riot sheild towards the charging mob  we see the Molotov mid flight .

Frame 65:
Almost same frame apart from slight different movements from riot police and the bottle shattering to flames the mob step backwards from the eruption

Frame 66:
Again same long length ways format for frame  the rioters caught off guard  as the police from Genes actions the police run forward with batons and sheilds ..
Gene Hunt: Chaaarrrrggge!

Frame 67:


What follows is an example of Gene Hunts unique method of textbook police brutality putting the boot into a young  Brixton teenager Gene clutchs a riot sheild behind him a Rasta is about to strike him with a lead pipe various other incidents involving Chris, Ray and other uniformed cops is also going on in this panel


Frame 68:
Gene blocks the impact of the pipe with his sheild.

Gene retaliates with a fist

The aftermath of the battle Hunt takes a swig fom his hip flask , many locals are been carted off into Black Mariahs  Super Mac is none to pleased at what he's witnessed .
Prisoner 1: "Amergeddon Come Battybwoy Beast"

Ray Carling: "Speak English you Muppet!"


Prisoner 2: "Beenie Downpressor"(he's much taller than Chris)

Chris:"Yeah Right"


Gene Hunt: Not a bad day's work eh? Mac any G.T.P pubs around here? could do with a pint or 8

Super Mac :"The Gate Post a few blocks away , I can't join you Gene I don't feel it apprioate tonight "
Note: G.T.P stands for "Good To Police "

Frame 71:
Super Mac Points at Gene side view of the two cops

Super Mac:"What you did tonight was irresponssible and foolish if words get out about your antics our reputation will be in even more tatters as it is now!"

Gene Hunt:"Officers lifes were at risk Sir , as I saw it my method although unruly but it broke the stalemate"

Super Mac: "Agreed"

fRAME 72:
Super Mac walks into the night  backview Hunt watches him back view

Super Mac :"You're treading on thin glass Gene there are forces out there  that want to cease  your blend of maverick policing ..be careful"

Gene Hunt:"hmm..Saddle Up Boys it's Beeroclock!"

The Timothy Whites Van Side view  drives throgh the streets of London  Keats briefs Summers

Jim Keats :"We're in a process of a major sting , one of our opratives has infiltrated a drugs ring , suspects name is Kieran O'Mally small fry big connections "

Frame 75:
Keats produces a black white photo image of under cover officer Joyce(who passes more than a passing resemblence to Zoe Tapper)Also theres a photo of O'mally a long haired man about 25 years old
Jim Keats:" Our undercover officer goes by name of Glenda Joyce you'll recognise her she'll be wearing white I want you to look out for her in case covers blown "

Frame 76:

Summers cocks his thumb to indicate Tiny Tim in the back

Martin Summers:"And what about Iceman here?"

Jim Keats:" You'll find that Tim here has a particular loathing of O'Mally.. dosen't want drugs near anywhere near his sister"

Frame 77:
Inside the Gate Post  O'Mally is playing yet another lengthy guitar solo , he models himself on Rory Gallagher right down to the lumberjack shirt and blue jeans  he leads a three piece power trio "Waste" as written on bass drum
Tiny Tims sister Jenette (as seen in Ashes To Ashes episode 8 Series 2)and Glenda Joyce dressed excatly like Alex Drake in final part of Ashes to Ashes episode 1  are both dancing it's Kierans birthday
Frame 78:

At the bar  Tiny and Summers sit side by side drinking Guiness both looking the picture of happiness(not)

Summers "Wicklowe boy too huh?"

Tiny Tim"Yep"

Frame 79:
summers Catches a glimpse of T.V screen The Life on Earth Logo appears
Tiny Tim :"Been here two years now set up me own Machine Shop north of here"

Frame 80:
Still focussing on T.v David Attenbourough appears he stands on a street late at night
David Attenborough:"Above all it's the tenacity to survive  impresses me most about this breed of primate"

Frame 81: The Wreckage of Summers Four Wheel Drive in charity shop window David Continues his monolouge
David Attenbourough:" Indeed even with the odds so highly stacked against them these two homo sapiens invest in power of the will to live

Frame 83:

A Fireman pulls Maya's body from the wreck

David Attenbourough: "to overcome certain demise.."

Summers "Maya"
Frame 84:
Summers leaves his stool in a hurry the T.v has gone on the blink  Tiny protests after him

Tiny Tim: "Oi what about Keats"

Martin Summers: "Sod Keats! Bloody eejit ! "

Frame 85:

As Summers heads for Pub doors they swing open to reveal Hunt producing his I.D , Chris , Ray and a few other uniformed bobbies
Gene Hunt: "CID I offically declare this a lock in!"

Frame 86 : O Mally has stopped playing he has a word in Jennettes ear
O'Mally: "Feck it's a raid they'll seize this place to the ground"
Frame: 87:
O'Mally Hands Jenette  a small bottle of Liquid LSD with legend Electric Kool Aid Test written on the label
O'Mally :"Give the big man a few drops  of this .. buy me some time"
Frame 88:
The bar is more rowdy than before with a heavy police presence .The Barman looks excatly like like James Wilmot Brown, the nasty posh bar owner in Eastenders
Gene Hunt :"A quadrople Scotch and two ginger beers for my compadres "

Frame 89:
Jenette is now at bar Gene gives her the once over she orders
Jenette: "Two pints of Lager a packet of Crisps!"

Gene Hunt:"Allo Allo Allo! "
Page 16:

Frame: 90
Jenette flashes a smile at Hunt , he's'impressed usually he'd get a drink in the face

Jenette"well Officer you got me bang to writes ..whats your name big man "


Frame 91:

Gene whispers into her ear

Gene Hunt: "Nigel Perkins..but don't tell anyone"

Frame 92:Jenette  carrying two glasses saunters away from the bar but keeps eye contact with  Gene(who's quite chuffed with himself)

Jenette: "Well Sherrif your secrets safe with me catch you later"

Gene Hunt:"Tell that Hippy to turn music down or I'll arrest him for noise pollution"

Frame 93:Ray pats Gene on the back (great expression on Genes face unconcealed pride it's been a good day)

Ray Carling:"Looks like your in there Guv!"

Gene Hunt:"Watch and Learn young Chris from the Maestro!"
Frame 94:
Outside  James Wilmot Brown lookalike is chatting to Keats who is sitting in van reading the bible

Jim Keats: "I'll pass on that offer James my poision is the word from the good book besides I'm waiting for somebody"

Frame 95:
Summers is talking to two uniformed officers outside The Gate Post  

Woodentop:"A Timothy Whites van you say we'll give it twice over after a pint Sir"

Frame 96:

Gene is not looking so good in fact white as a sheet whatevers happening he's not so sure now ...the band are packing up lots of chatter going on

O'Mally: That's the lot pig should be feeling it by now  pity

Jenette: "Your an evil Bastard  Kirean "
Frame 97:
Gene Erupts ..he's experiencing a seriously bad trip  not only does he send beverages and ashtrays flying but Chris too off his barstool  
Gene Hunt:"Enough!"
Frame 98 :
Hunt shoulder barges the mens room with unnnessarry force (its open already )

Frame 98: "

Hunt struggles to pull himself up to the sink the mirrors show nothing


Frame 99:
Then he stares directly into the mirror .. in see infinnate stars but not like in Series 3 they are like a photograph negative of those stars ..in reverse..

Frame 100:

Then we see close up of an old cop white handlebar mosthache old style 1950's uniform  his head is huge dwarving Genes widescreen in the mirror


p.C Morrison: "Geno Laddie , where are you? hic*  where you gone boy?"

Frame 101: Ultra Close Up of Hunts eyes, P.C Morrison is still talking

Gene Hunt: "Morrison!"

P.c Morrison :" Don't run out on me now lad they're coming for me"

Frame 102:
Close Up of Double Barrel shotgun nostrils again dwarfing Gene makes an effort to run

Gene Hunt: NOOO!

Frame 103:
The shotgun blast engulfs the mirror Hunt hits the deck

Frame 104:
Shot of Gene a wreack on the bathroom floor shattered glass everywhere  through Jenettes legs much like shot from first episode when Alex first see's Genes

Jenette:"Oh Nigel thats seven years bad luck!"
Frame 105:
Jenette pulls Gene up,he's almost embaressed he yells
Gene Hunt: I'm Gene Fookin'Hunt !
Frame 106:
Jenette:"This will shut you up!"
See passionatly  Kisses the copper eyes closed
Frame 107: Same panel  but Jenettes eyes are open and in shock as it seems she's kissing the shotgun wounded 22 year old Gene

Frame 107:
Jenette flies backwards across the mensroom against a cubicle
Jenette " What the hell are you? This acids contagious

Frame 108:
Once Gene hear's the word "Acid" he has a moment of clarity  it dawns on him.. he stands upright by the door he's just busted down
'Gene Hunt: "Acid that stands to reason! who spiked me! I;ll ruddy kill "im!"

Frame 109:


Glenda who's standing by a kneeling Kieran who's filling up guitar case with narcotics  is tugged on the arm by a drunken uniformed Copper who seems to know her

Copperye Glenda see you in the canteen sometime"

Frame 110:
Suddenly  o'Mallys on his feet his eyes are filled with rage and surprise he grabs his girlfriend by her collars.

Kieran O'Mally: "You're filth ? I'll carve you up for this!"

Frame 111: Glenda's police training comes in use here as she knees him in the balls


Kieran O'Mally: "oorggh!"

Frame 112: Glenda heads for Pub door terrified knowing fully well O'Mally's threat is not a hollow one she looks terrified .. O'Mally can be seen in the distance clenching his crotch yells out to her

Kieran : Your dead girl!"

Page 20:
Frame 113: Keats starts up the Timothy Whites Van as the two uniformed coppers seen earlier  try to avoid it

Copper
"Stop We need to search the Van!"

Frame 114:
Aerial View as Van takes cornor Glenda is running out of pub O'Mally follows after carrying guitar case on strap .

Frame 115:

Glenda hands forward  is caught up in Keats headlights like a frightened deer impact is imminent

Frame 116:

Aerial view again van just drives off having driven over the detective her body lies dead centre in the road O'Mally stands still he can't believe whats just happened a third figure has now exited the pub Tiny Tim

Frame 117: Tiny Tim lands a punch on O'mally sending him flying and knocking open his guitar case containing bags of herion and coke

Tiny Tim :"Bastard!"

Frame "119"Gene (Eyes as big as saucers)Jenette who see's her friend dying in the road ,Ray and  Chris  have just exited the pub doors
Gene Hunt:"Bloody Nora!"
Jenette:"Oh My God!?"

Page 21:
Frame 121:

Gene kneels by the dying Glenda  As does Jenette  Chris uses walkie talkie to call an ambulance , whilst Ray cuffs O'Mally,Tiny Tim  sits on pavement with head in hands ..but unaware to everyone something strange is happening inside the pub
the windows and doors are all lit up like flames (very subtle but enough to give the suggestion that theres is fire going on inside the interior of the public house)
Gene: "Shes Gone"
Jennette:"Nooo!"


Ray: "you're Nicked!"

Chris"Ambulence Please"


Frame 122:
Gene stares over whilst cradling Glendas head to Ray and O'Mally

Gene Hunt: "I take it this is the B'stard that spiked me"

Frame 123:
Hunt leers down at the drug dealer profile view O'Mally begs for his freedom

O'Mally:"I'll give you names anything :Markham! Layton!"

Gene Hunt :"Twaddle! I think I'm going to enjoy my comedown with you in the cells"

Chris :" Guv!Guv!"

Frame 124:

Chris beside open door of The Gate Post pub to see it completly empty except for James the Bar Man cleaning a glass"

Chris "Wheres everybody bloody gone?"


Gene: walks away from scene gesturing with finger to head (the loopy sign
