Description I never knew this place existed, the enchanting "Lawrence Castle" at Haldon near Exeter, UK.
This gleaming triangular tower was originally built in 1788 and dedicated to the founder of the Indian army.
Its set in 5 acres of gorgeous woodlands with stunning views all the way to the sea from the top.
I so wanted to do this is in B&W but the sky was so blue that day, it would have been a waste.

Yes, its unusual to be rendered in this way but it gets used for weddings now so its kind of fitting I suppose. I've seen a photo of it when it was a ruin and the gothic side of me prefers my castles this way, would have made a great infrared !

yeh, that's something I still got to have a go at sometime. The other half bought a IR filter a while ago might try it on mine, I just don't like the idea of that post processing grrr what ever happened to the days of point and shoot

Ideal, do give it a go, there really is no special PP required, I just grayscale mine and boost the contrast with levels.

Go to the tallest tower, at the top of the stairs, I think there is the fair princess.
Watch out for the dragon though.

Tried it, but there's a trap door leading straight down to the dungeon where the goblins reside !
Great comment !

nothing worth while comes easily.
Hope the goblins weren't to tough.

Positives first. This shot has very strong perspective lines, the depths of colour in the grass and sky contrast beautifully against the tower. You've positioned yourself really well to take advantage of the castle's shape and establish a sense of symmetry.

Now for critique: it feels a little lop-sided. This is mainly due to the sloping bank but I think the tower itself needs to be straightened slightly to the left (lens correction would be a useful tool here), you could then select the bank and rotate it slightly so the bank appears horizontal. With the photo being straighter the lines of perspective might feel stronger and make the castle stand out even more.

Just my opinion mate... I still owe you a quid don't it?
