i would like to ask permission to use this photo as a reference for an oil painting of andromeda. she was chained to the rocks to be devoured by a sea serpent because her mother cassiopeia boasted that she was more beautiful than the daughters of the sea god nereus. the king, cepheus, sacrificed his virgin daughter andromeda to the monster. she was chained naked to a rock on the coast, and ultimately rescued by perseus.

this is exactly the vision i have had of andromeda, with waves crashing at her feet. of course, the painting would only reference the photo, not copy it.

Wow great capture, very nice line of action through the figure. Her skin against the rock texture is beautiful!
