Description
Here is how I went about designing and developing my African Sphinx character. Here is the time lapse process video of the coloured: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVx_xq…
Here is the coloured by itself: fyrewhisp.deviantart.com/art/A…
I started off with thumbnails playing around with different idea. First I tried and African Sphinx (tiger body), then I tried a Himalayan Sphinx (snow leopard body), and lastly I tested out a Hindu Sphinx (cougar body).
I decided upon the African style after analyzing the silhouettes and thumnails. Then I made a 360 rotation of the character. There are some discrepancies but I'm too tired to fix them!
I already posted the coloured version. I need to do a lot of work on the wings still too. Gah!

I've always loved the concept of different appearances for creatures not from America or the more popular places, so watching the development of this was extremely cool and interesting! o: S/he's gorgeous

Sphinxes are absolutely fabulous! I kept mine more animal than some people do but I prefer that look . I think a harpy will be fun to do next!
Thanks a bunch for the compliment and favourite.
