IllyaIt has been a few days since Illya had arrived in Lunariah seeking refuge far away from the wolves who had attacked her months ago. She would never forget the haunting howls of that tragic night and to put her mind at ease she followed the coast. The water was relatively calm and she took a moment to breathe in the salty air and feel the cold water sweep along her paws. No one seemed to be around as far as she could tell though the salt may only be hindering her ability to scent anyone nearby. Ahead of her she spotted hundreds of colorful rocks and shells collected from a nearby reef. In delight she padded over and sniffed at the curiously and her eyes shone at all the beautiful colors, putting her in a good mood. Before she had come to Lunariah she had never seen the ocean or beaches making this a lovely transition.

When she was finished observing the shells and rocks she continued along the shore and took notice to a small island not too far away. The distance between the lands seemed shorter farther down the shore that she was now headed to. Once she had reached the tip of the land she noticed the island looking a lot closer than she had initially thought it would be. The range made it safe to swim, but as she studied the water she noticed a formation of reef beneath the waves creating a bridge to the island. Illya wondered just how deep it would get along the way making her worry and second guess venturing out to this island. In the wind she could hear the songs of birds and some of many colors could be seen flying their way to the islands trees. She felt envious watching the birds fly from place to place with ease making her wish that she could fly as well. Illya found herself caught up in this scenario and any wolf to approach her would be unnoticed.

AnzuIt was really the first time Anzu meet the sea. He never knew why but he never got the chance to see it. Now his road sent him to the sandy eand of land, to a world he only heard about, and it was truly beautiful. Anzu looked at the sand and dipped his paws in it.  The feeling of the tiny rocks on his skin was really nice,  but weird and new. Anzu looked up and started walking to the sore, absorbed by the view if the largest lake he ever saw. It wasn't a lake, silly! It was the sea! And it was continued by the ocean. Staring into distance, Anzu didn't notice he gor next to water, and small waves were hitting his feet.  He did notice the island in the distance,  yes,  but he didn't notice the female wolf he was heading to. Absorbed by the pretty colors of the sky and sea, and by the luxuriance island, Anzu didn't realize the presence of the other wolf until he collided into her. Surprised, he made a few steps back and apologized.
"I am really sorry! I didn't mean to hit you. I just got distracted by the sea." He looked ashamed at the pretty female wolf that was in front of him. He was really sorry for his lack of attention and was now scared she'll get angry at him.

Illya

Without realizing until it was too late she had let someone bump into her, causing her to yelp and jump in surprise, then whip herself around quickly to see who had collided into her taking a few steps back. Her ears we flat against her head and her eyes wide while feeling her heart pound incredibly fast all while in a defensive posture. Upon hearing the stranger apology she let out a sigh of relief from having held her breath. He sounded like a friendly, but she did not let her guard down. The male was barely shorter than herself with a white coat and black legs that faded to silver at his paws, with iris and blue eyes. He looked ashamed for having paid little attention to where he was walking, almost looking as if he were ready to be scolded. Illya simply dipped her head, "It is quite alright, really. I had not realized myself that I was being approached."

She forced her fur to lay flat and relax from her near heart attack. Illya did not like to be surprised one bit as it would bring flashbacks of her horrific past that she desperately wished to erase from her memories. As she recollected her thoughts she shifted her gaze to the sky and her ears perked at the sound of chirping overhead. Looking up she saw a pair of yellow birds flying to the island and her gaze followed them, then focusing on the island. Illya then asked with a shy voice looking at him without moving her head, "Have you traveled to that island there?" Curiosity tugged at her and before she would possibly wade or even swim her way to the island she hoped to find out if the trip there and back would be worth getting herself wet for. Listening to birds sing in the trees was always relaxing and the island seemed to be a possible hotspot for all sorts of birds.

AnzuSeeing how scared the female became after he bumped into her, Anzu became even more scared. He was really sorry for what he did and he only calmed down a little after the stranger assured him it was alright. Observing how she didn't seem that comfortable with him, Anzu kept a respectful distance and relaxed his body, to show he had no intentions to do anything.
He listened to her question closely, but shook his head. "I didn't have any chance to travel to it. Actually, this is the first time, not seeing just this island, but actually an island and seeing the sea!" For a second he forgot he was with a stranger, and jumped excited, looking at the sea with sparks in his eyes, and wagging his tail excited like a puppy. "I've never been here before, but it's truly magical!" After the moment passed, Anzu focused again on the female, and sat back to his spot, hoping he didn't scare her more. Or even worse, make her think he is a weirdo -dum dum dum-.

IllyaWitnessing such excitement caused her ears to angle back and sit on her haunches with a forepaw lifted, watching him jump in excitement. He seemed to not mind showing his enthusiasm for having come to experience this land and all of its beauty for the first time. She would not judge him for it as every individual had their own unique personality and he seemed like a bright wolf. This was all new to her as well, but she could not share his enthusiasm. When coming upon new lands she has always felt her experience to be strange and not so welcoming, but perhaps this time would be different. Still, she would be wary around strangers as she was not much of a fighter and rather delicate like a flower. Their gaze met and she smiled meekly to appear more friendly, "There appears to be a path made from the reef that could make for safe crossing to the island if you feel the need to explore it. I have not crossed it myself so I am unsure of how deep it could get, but there may not be much of a problem if you know how to swim since it's not far."

If he wished to visit the island then she would leave him to it and continue venturing the land on her own before coming back another day to see the island for herself. She could not find it in herself to ask a stranger to accompany her to the island even if the male did not come off as hostile, rather far from it. Thinking that she would possibly be taking her leave soon she stood up and shook the sand off of her tail as she awaited the others answer without thinking of the possibility of being asked to join him.

Anzu"Then lets go explore it!" Anzu waged his tail, ready to go! His curiosity exploded again, but this time, he kept in mind to not jump and startle the other wolf again. He resumed to express his happiness with his face and tail. "That is, if you want to.." he looked at her hopping she'll accept his invitation. He looked down and then back to her, using the "puppy eyes" trick. With his cuteness -muahaha- one good thing about it; maybe he'll be able to melt her heart and get her into a magical adventure to the heart island of bird! Boyeah!
Anzu was a rogue, but that doesn't mean he wanted to be all alone! He meet this wolf, and even if he bumped into her, he would love to make friends, and go on a little adventure! Discovering new things, exploring, those are to be made with someone else, as a companion makes everything better.
But this wolf seemed scared of him, and he had to be respectful, maybe even cool down, his extreme attitude of happiness seemed to scare her. But! He'll show her he is nice and funny and they'll make friends! And bark at the birds, because that's a thing friends have to do. Even if wolves can't bark. Maybe they can if they'll practice! He was seeing too much into the future now. Anzu, you have to focus into the present, she won't be friends if you're a dreamy weirdo!
Anzu shook his head and came with the paws bach on earth-sand-, focusing on her response.

IllyaIllya froze in her tracks as soon as she started to walk passed the male and slowly turned to look at him when in her peripheral vision she noticed him watching her. As she turned to look at him he gave her the biggest and saddest looking eyes to guilt her into joining him into venturing the island together. He was a young adult and although the trick would have been more effective for a pup or juvenile to do, it affected her in a way. She found his expression to be quite amusing and stifled a giggle. He is a strange one all right. She glanced passed him at the island and then back at the male trying to come to a decision. It was clear to her that he would like some company and she was well aware of how lonely it could be roaming the lands as a rogue.

Although she had not come to this land with the intention of making friends and potential allies, she supposed that she could slowly get to know some wolves. Hesitantly she started, "I...suppose we could, but I won't guarantee to stay long." She had not really thought about it, but perhaps the island could be one of the safest places around. We will have to see. Subconsciously she took the lead to the part of land closest to the island where the coral reef was formed. When they were ready she took a couple of steps in the cold water, her toes sinking in the sand and a shiver rippling along her spine as water soon lapped at her belly. She looked to her side at her companion, "Let's stay close that way if anything happens to either of us we are right beside each other."

Together they walked on the reef, the water getting deeper and deeper soon to touch her shoulder blades. The coral felt rough on her pads and she tried to step lightly as to not cut her pads, but at the same time she fought to not get swept away by the currents. All around them colorful fish were swimming making for quite a fascinating experience. Luckily the water was not getting any deeper and before long they started reaching the shallows.

AnzuOnce the white female accepted his proposal, Anzu catched her from behind, with small jumps and wagging his tail. But, oh, who would go through such torture as walking slow into the water? No, Anzu passed right in front of the female, as fast as he could, splashing all around, this way he got used to the cold right away! And he stopped to wait for her.
"Okay, I wont walk too far!" He waited for her to get back on the lead and followed with big steps on the water and followed with his eyes all those small fish. He would have tried to hunt them, but she said to stay close, and Anzu was going to listen! Since when was Anzu trying to act like a gentleman? Well, since now, a pretty girl deserved to be treated nice and with respect, and he was going to try his best, even if he was getting distracted quicky.
Once back on the land, Anzu shook off the water and looked at his new wolf friend with ruffled hair. His paws already got sand stuck on them and he was feeling quite refreshed from the cool walk on the water. "You know, I think we forgot to make a proper presentation. I'm Anzu, what's your name?"

IllyaThe she-wolf watched as the young male passed her splashing carefree through the water and waited on the sand for her when he had gotten out. Her ears pinned back from the splashes, but she said nothing and sped up her pace by a small amount to catch up when he said that he would not walk too far and leave her behind. When she finally arrived on the island she shook her pelt dry as the other had just done careful to keep some distance while doing this as to not wet him. When he pointed out that they had not exchanged a proper introduction Illya felt her face flush with embarrassment thinking that she had forgotten before realizing that it was not as a huge deal as it would have been if she were still a part of a pack. Hesitantly she responded and dipped her head slightly, "My name is Illya, it's a pleasure to meet you." She had to admit that she would rather run into someone like Anzu than some other hostile or disrespectful wolf so in a way it was a pleasure to have met him.

In the background of their introduction the sounds of birds chirping were heard and now seemed louder than a moment ago causing Illya to turn her head in their direction and looking back at Anzu. "Come, let's take a look, but keep quiet. We don't want to frighten them off." As they neared the foliage Illya lowered her body into a crouch and slowly made her way through the undergrowth careful of where she was placing each paw. Above their heads were a few colorful birds, but as the two wolves pressed forward they came across a small clearing with a roof of leaves over their heads still. Several birds ranging from all colors and sizes were perched on the branches overhead singing to one another in a language that Illya wished that she could understand. Her eyes sparkled at the sight and half whispered to herself, "This is beautiful..."

AnzuOnce in the little jungle of the island, Anzu followed the steps of Illya quietly, but filled with curiosity. Once their paws lead them to a natural arch of tree branches, just like his companion, Anzu was left speechless by the colorful birds flying around and chirping happily.
"I've never seen something like this." he said almost to himself, laying on his back in the tall grass and looking up to the amazing image. Everything was wild and untouched, and from the tall, green grass, Anzu could swear they were the first wolves even to come to this island. He looked to Illya, wanting to part his thoughts with her, but the sparkles in her eyes stopped him. Anzu figured she would enjoy better this moment in silence, so he kept his mouth shut, and following the she-wolf's example, he enjoyed the nature just as it is, but while the surrounding silence was only disturbed by singing of birds, Anzu decided to use this few seconds of relaxations to let his imagination run free. If they discovered this island, does it mean they get to name it? If it was already discovered, they could still give it a name for themselves. Or maybe not, but does the island have a pretty name? Well, he kept thinking of a list of names, wondering of his companion's thoughts. Maybe he should let her decide of a name. That would be the educated thing to do, since she was a lady! And also since this little piece of heaven suited her elegant aura more that his playful character.
And to prove his playful character, bored of siting, Anzu started rolling on the ground around Illya, searching for some interesting bugs and such.

IllyaWhen Illya looked to Anzu she found him rolling about on the ground as if he was searching for something. She watched as he came across some interesting bugs and found herself smiling seeing as he had found himself occupied. Sounding thoughtful she spoke, "I wonder if anyone else had come here, this is such a beautiful place." She imagined what it would be like to live here, but as far as she was aware rogues had no place to call home. Regardless she loved the idea of coming here often and perhaps if she were ever to make friends she could bring them here so that they too could witness the islands colors. She looked at the birds once more and an idea came to mind. Turning around the began to search the floors around the tree trunks for any seeds or berries and when she had collected a few she gathered them onto a leaf and placed it in the open moving back to lay down beside Anzu in the grass waiting to see if any bird would take notice. She whispered to him, "Let's see what happens!"

To their luck one yellow and small bird was the first to fly down and peck at the berries. Slowly more birds flew down to investigate and began eating as well and as more came down to the grass Illya lowered her muzzle into her paws with a wide smile and her tail tip swaying in delight. She would love nothing more than to be able to sit in the middle of the birds seeing as how adorable and puffy some of them looked. "Aren't they precious?"

AnzuWhen Illya spoked, Anzu stoped from his searck of bugs to think for an answer, but before he could say anything, Illya started her plan and he watched her in action. He tought of ading some bugs in the equation, but at the same time he didn't want to risk ruining everything, so he keept a safe distance from the berries.
After Illya placed the berries on the grass and the birds came fearlessly closer to them, Anzu decided to sit next to Illya, and puting his head on the same level as the birds, he stared at them silently. He decided not to respond the Illya's afirmation of them, even if obliviously they shared the same opinion, he was too occupied to analyze the birds from the new angle to realize he was supposed to respond. He staid next to Illya for a few minutes in silence, before he decided to put in words the thought he had earlier. "If we are the first on this Island, why don't you name it?"
Anzu didn't raise his look from the birds, like a little curious child, trying to focus on more things at a time, at the same not paying enough attention to anything, but his ears were pointed to Illya, so even if his eyes looked at the birds, he would head her opinion.

IllyaIllya grew nervous when Anzu moved closer to lay beside her to watch the birds, but once he relaxed in his spot she began to as well and they shared a sweet silent moment together with the birds. Her attention was soon back on Anzu when he suddenly decided to ask her about naming the island if they were the first ones to set paw here and though his eyes were set on the birds his ears were angled in her direction to hear her out. Hmm. She took a moment to think about it and whether or not they were the first ones to have set paw here she figured having a name for it between them wouldn't be a bad idea so that they had a name that referred to it.

"How does...Paradise Islet sound? Or perhaps Paradise Holm? I'm not sure, this place does seem like it could be a paradise and it's a small island that is close to the main land. Do you have any ideas?" It was tough for her to come up with a good name for the island full of colorful birds and where the vegetation was rich, but perhaps Anzu could help her come to a conclusion if his imagination matched his energetic personality. Her mind wandered back to the reef path that they used to travel to the island during the low tide. Paradise reef... She hoped that they would be able to cross back in a little while and not have to worry about being stuck on the island for too long.

Anzu"I like the paradise part! This place is full of color, like a paradise, but I'm not really a naming type. You seem pretty poetic so I'll leave it to you, names are important so they sould be given time." Anzu got up, stretched and scratched the back of his ear. He looked up at the now orange sky , and observed the first early birds going to sleep. The little lively place got more peaceful with the twilight and it seemed the time for them to go home and have a good sleep.
"It's getting darker, I think it's better we go back home, just like these little birds? If that's alright with you. I could acompany you home, too. It's not good to be alone on dark." Anzu yawned tired and gave Iilya a gaze that said in his place it was time to sleep.

Illya"Paradise Islet it is then!" Illya giggled and felt her cheeks feel hot at Anzu's praise after a lot of time had passed since another wolf was so kind to her and despite the short time she had been around him, she could see how kind he was. Her gaze softened and she did not respond right away, only watched as Anzu stretched and gave himself a scratch. Together they looked up to the sky that was beginning to darken and the birds settled in their nests. Time had passed quickly through the fun that they were having and she did not even realize it and when Anzu mentioned heading back home her ears flattened against her head. Home...I'm still searching for my own, but I cannot tell anyone that.

Her expression was sad for a moment, but managed a give a sad smile to the gentleman. "You're right, of course." Illya stood herself up and continued, "The night is full of terrors and I appreciate your concern, but I think I can manage on my own. It's nothing personal, but we can at least travel across the water now unless you think we should nap here and cross in the morning?" She did not mind either option and hoped that he would not feel too upset after declining his offer to escort her. He was not aware that she had no place to call home and she wondered if he had a pack to go back to or if they were in the same position and nervously bit her lip.

AnzuAnzu looked in the direction ot the way to the main land and took a few seconds to think. He really didn't like the idea of a wolf like Illya alone  there, and he didn't want to sleep wondering if his new friend was all right.
"I think we could stay here. The water is even colder than before and if we'd sleep wet we'll definetly get cold. And it's not like anyone is waiting me home." Anzu smiled relaxed. "I don't find any reason for anyone to come here at night, so I might as well hop in a bush. What are your bed ideas?"
Anzu's home was literaly just an old plain bush, but he liked it. He wasn't sure how other wolves sleep while camping, so he was indeed curious. It also felt like a little night party, too. When he was little his mother would call than when he and his brothers stayed up late.

IllyaIllya nodded in agreement to Anzu's idea, he was right that the water would be colder and perhaps more rough as well and it would be better to wait it out until it was safer to cross. When Anzu admitted that he had no one awaiting his return anywhere Illya froze in her spot as a cold feeling washed over her and grip her heart. He is like me... And yet he managed to smile and look so relaxed about it, appearing strong over the matter. Illya pressed gently against him for silent comfort not knowing what to say about either of them not having a home and looked around to think about what she could use to create a bed for herself. "Hmm..." She wasn't sure if she would be comfortable sleeping in a bush and looking around she found a patch of fern that she could use as a base.

"I'm going to collect some bracken and feathers to add to the patch of ferns over there." She pointed with her muzzle to a good-sized patch of ferns nearby. "I could bring back extra for you to use for your bush unless we share the ferns?" The idea of them sharing a nest made her feel embarrassed, but she wasn't sure how comfortable a bush could be to sleep in and decided to offer him another option if he would like another choice. Illya quickly added "Not that anything is wrong with sleeping in a bush if that is something you like, I just thought that I would bring up another option if it is something you might be interested in..." Her voice trailed off as she tried to justify herself and began to leave to begin gathering her bed materials with her pelt feeling hot.

Anzu"Well, back home I also sleep in a bush, that's why. But I wouldn't mind sleeping with you. It would be safer. And your offer is not offensive at all. I'm pretty neutral to this thing." Anzu was pretty neutral with the idea. And like, safer for who? With his size and strength, he wouldn't be able to defend anyone, only dodge attacks. He looked around and spotted a low branch on a tree, full of leaves. "Let me help you!" He troted to the branch, and after a few seconds of fighting, the wolf was returning to the fern patch proud with his prey in his mouth. The whole time he didn't really notice Iilyas new attitude of the situation, as the inocent and inconstient young wolf he was. He just made a friend and was happy to share and help.

IllyaUpon hearing Anzu's reply Illya gave him a small nod to acknowledge his agreement to share a nest and together they went out to gather bedding and prey. Illya soon came back with some bracken and plentiful feathers to soften their bed and when Anzu returned with a meal Illya realized how hungry she was. "Good catch!" she congratulated him on his find and finished adding some final touches for their nest. She plopped down on it and let out a content sigh. It had been a while since she had such a soft bed and watched Anzu, she wasn't sure if they were going to share the prey or not, but she didn't mind catching her own in a little while or waiting until they have reached the main land. With an appreciative smile she spoke, "Thank you for the help."

Anzu"No problem!" Anzu placed the animal in front of Illya proud. "Now time to catch mine!" In a few second, another little creature found the end in the mouth of a hungry wolf and Anzu returned to the nest fully content. He left a huge yawn that made his jaws make a popping sound.
"I didn't have such a nice day in a while. It was nice meeting you and comming here, thank you!"
He sprawled comfortably in the nest on his back, at a respectful distance from Illya, and left himself gaze sleepy at the stars above them. It really was a great day. He finally meet someone nice! All his previous encounters were really weird she-wolves. But Illya was nice, and Anzu really enjoyed his time with her. The small island really was like a paradise, and not only because of the looks.

IllyaWhen Anzu dropped the fresh catch in front of Illya to be left for her she panicked a little and tried to call him back, but he had already gone to catch his own. She looked down at her meal feeling a mixture of guilt and thankfulness for his generosity. While he was out catching his food Illya began to eat hers and buried the bones when she had finished and before long Anzu returned with a full belly, smelling of having eaten prey. Illya scooted over to make room for Anzu as he settled into the nest and thanking her for the nice day. She happily chirped back, "I know what you mean and same to you as well!" Anzu was considerate enough to give Illya some space and as she lay on her belly she looked up to the sky as Anzu was. The sky was dark and the beautiful view of stars revealed itself to the pair, not a single cloud overhead. There was a sweet silence between them and Illya lowered her head to curl up her body and giving Anzu one last glance. "Good night, Anzu." she murmured and let a wave of darkness wash over her.

Anzu"Good night, Illya."
