The sun began to set and before Célestine passed the bulletin board she decided to stop to read if anyone needed her help. A detective client named Roxy seemed to be asking for anyone's assistance to investigate "weird" footprints found within this town. With the little information that was given out Célestine decided to wander throughout the town. "Luna, I need your help." Summoning Luna, her persian, from her pokemon the feline looked up at her ready to be filled in on what was going on. "Strange footprints have been spotted and I need your help to find them and figure out where they lead to." Luna meowed and nodded in acknowledgement and the two set off to inspect the town carefully. Very few trainers around were doing the same, but so far no one had solved the case.
Célestine and Luna made their way to the Ivywood Hospital, the towns main medical treatment center for both pokemon and people, taking a look all around it, but finding nothing. Their next stops included the Pokepuff Bakery, Mysterious Shop, and the Safari Park, but nothing. When they neared the Furniture shop Luna began sniffing at the air and then at the ground, taking her around the building with Célestine following close behind. Luna lead Célestine to a familiar footprint that then lead to several in the dirt. They began to hear voices approaching and together Célestine and Luna hid behind the nearest bush. Four men had gathered behind the store. She had never seen them before and wondered what they were planning on doing. Two street lights in the area began to flicker before staying off darkening the place quite a bit and with a crescent moon there was not much to be able to see. Célestine felt unease run through her veins as the men tried to enter the building through the back door. They were breaking in!

Panic surged through her unsure of what to do. There were too many people for her to battle and if she were to lose she wondered about what would happen to her. She decided to stay hidden and follow them to their hideout for the detective. As silently as she could she called out Proteus, her buizel. "Bui-!" Quickly Célestine covered his mouth so that they would not be heard and whispered to her friend. "Proteus, I need you to go find some help and bring them here. Be careful and don't get spotted by these men! Here, wear the scarf so that someone figures you have an owner." Célestine had wrapped a light blue scarf around Proteus's neck then watched him take his leave hesitating. They locked eyes for a moment and it was clear that he did not want to leave her, but she needed him to do this for her. Be safe... She worried about him, but he was not much a fighter nor did she have another pokemon to take his place. He'll have to be brave.

When Célestine turned back to watch the men who pulled out a ghost pokemon. She watched a haunter slip right through a glass window and came back with a cushion in its hand attempting to bring the item through the window as well, but failed and the item dropped. The owner of the pokemon covered his face with his had and the pokemon scratched its head. Célestine held back a laugh from the silly scene. The next guy with a purple cap called out a ditto who attached itself to the doorknob and shifted a part of its body to fit into the keyhole. Just as the ditto fiddled with the knob Célestine called out Aurora to set up Mist. The men didn't seem to notice right away but as soon as the door unlocked an alarm went off making Luna and Célestine jump in surprise. These guys are idiots! Quickly the men panicked, but before they could flee the scene Célestine instinctively stepped out of hiding. "Hey thieves, there is no escaping!"

Swiftly Célestine called out Deimos from his Pokeball who let out a loud roar and Luna leaped beside him and Aurora perched on Célestine's shoulder. The opponents each called out a pokemon, the ditto that they had just seen transformed into a tyrunt like Deimos, a houndoom, seviper, and a haunter. Seeing that they were outnumbered at the moment Célestine called out two more pokemon, Sirena and Aurora. "Let's teach these thieves a lesson!" Never before did she have to command more than two Pokemon at once, this was sure to be a challenge as she would have to watch each battle and work with her pokemon. It didn't matter she just needed to keep them here long enough for the officers and detective to arrive.

The battle started with the opponents tyrunt charging Deimos with a tackle, "Deimos, dodge and use tackle!" The second fight with houndoom charging towards Sirena to use Thunder Fang. Sirena would not be able to dodge effectively out of water, "Protect!" Sirena obeyed and used Protect shielding herself from the dangerous electric move. The third battle the seviper used Poison Tail on Aurora who dodged despite her injured wing. "Aurora, put that serpent to sleep with Sing!" Successfully the snake pokemon was put to sleep to make the battles a little easier to manage. "Use Dragon Breath on it, now!" Without giving the seviper a chance to wake up Aurora used her Dragon Breath until the pokemon fainted as she had no other effective damaging moves. The fourth fight involved haunter using Confuse Ray on Luna. Luna swung her head around wildly as if trying to fight it, but lunged at Aurora who fluttered higher into the air in panic. "Luna, fight it! I know you can!"

The battle continued for a short time until help finally arrived along with the detective who held Proteus. Roxy spoke to Célestine first, "I found this buizel running throughout the town and he came over to me just as the alarm here went off so I figured he came to get help." Célestine pet Proteus on the head, "I knew I could count on you, great work!" Turning back to her matches she called over to Sirena to finish that fight while the other pokemon held their own for now, "Sirena, finish things up by using Ice Beam, freeze them all to the ground including the trainers!" Sirena used Protect as houndoom tried to stop her causing the pokemon to bounce backwards and quickly she used her Ice Beam as the men tried to run away leaving their pokemon behind. Before they could escape their feet were bound to the ground and the cops closed in on them. Soon the scene was being taken care of and Célestine explained the situation to the detective.
"I read your post on the board and did manage to find footprints that belonged to these men here. As you could tell from the alarm they tried to break in and before they could escape I thought to bide some time and keep them busy until helped arrive knowing that people would come to investigate the alarm."

Detective Roxy congratulated Célestine for her help to stop a crime. When they were finished talking Célestine brought her pokemon to the Ivywood Hospital to get them checked out and healed after the fight. After they all made it home Célestine huddled her helpers tonight, "You all did a great job and together we prevented a group of thieves from causing more trouble. Thank you." She gave them all a kiss and they huddled closer to rub against her. Luna backed away and let out a sad meow with drooping ears. Célestine rest her hand on Luna's cheek, "Don't feel bad about the battle, you helped me out earlier. Without you we would have been too late in catching those men." Luna then let out a happy meow and purred as she rubbed her cheek against Célestine's cheek. Tonight the town could sleep with ease knowing that criminals had been caught.
