NOTE: I did not draw this. I merely colored it.The detailed liney picture from hell is finished! *dies* This took way to long, especially due to procrastination and too much random lines. Was hard to tell what went where. So I did my best to make it look like the colors were placed right.
It was really fun coloring Atoli's dressish turquoise thing. Its seems so smooth... this type of coloring is fun, cause I get to lay out colors and plaster them on. I didn't do that before. Hopefully I got all the missing random splotches.
EDIT 11-28-06: Figured out it was Atoli, not Shino.

I like the glitter one, never seen it been used as a coloring medium before. Try putting shades into your color work so that it stands out more.

I don't use GIMP. I use Photoshop and Painter. But I heard GIMP is the next best free thing to Photoshop.

A watch is when a person well, watches another person. XD You have to go to their main page and click the Watch this Deviant link or something on the top right of the page. It lets you get updates by the person when they upload a new picture or makes a new journal.

The link underneath all those tabs [Profile, Gallery, etc.] has one called Watch this deviant. So then once you watch a person, you'll receive notifications in your dA inbox about new submissions and journals. I'm trying to keep my watch list as low as I can XD (currently watching 150).

For this picture, I was using Photoshop CS2, but at the moment, I'm trying to get used to Corel Painter IX for coloring. As for the way I color, I take a lot of different methods from tutorials around dA. I have a giant folder on my computer dedicated to tutorials. If you want, I can upload it.

Sure. That'd be nice. But even nicer if you made one on how you've taken bits and pieces of those tuts and developed that very pretty coloring style of your own! ^^

Painter is very good. It has all these brushes that pretty much imitate real life medias. Like crayon, pastels, oils, etc. I just realized its almost impossible to upload the folder. Its 300MB+ XD I've never made a tutorial before, but I guess I could try.
