Mbili entered the cave. They had been gathering since dawn and their paws hurt now. Everything they wanted to do right now was to lay in the grass and take a looooong nap. The looked at the hard rock floor on the cave, just shattering their hope for a confortble sleep

As they got into the cave they turned to a lioness which was mindlessly resting in a small plataform by the entrance

- I'm back ma'am - they continued inside the cave, dropping the pile into the ground and carefully organizing the plants into smaller piles of the same species

- Good morning Mbili - The lioness let out a large yawn. Mbili couldn't help but notice one of her broken fangs - How was your gathering?

- Uneventful - they sighted - I saw weeds, mostly, and I walked a lot. A loooooot. - They sighed

- What did you got?

- Some brahmi, resin spurge, some beladonna for pain...

- Only that? You've been gone for so long!

- I know, and I looked aroung. You know I've have a good eye - they pointed to their lighter eye which was more sensitive, but also had a better vision that the other one - Honetly teacher... I think we've got all the healing plants around

Kuponya turned to them with a concerning look on her face - That's no good - She shook her head - What are we going to do if there isn't an healing material around?

Mbili nodded while storaging the bunch of herbs in on of the multiple crevices which were dug in the cave's wall's

- Maybe we should do like the birds say

The healer let out an annoyed grunt - Were not birds, child

- I know. But they know how to grow plants, fruit even! Maybe is better to leave our ego behind just for a minute we won't have such problems...

Kuponya turned away from them, annoyed but pensive. She grunted again - Okay... But that's your responsability little brat.

Mbili from their apprentice days! This won't be a story per se, just a little snippet into their lives. They had hard early days, and spent quite some time with the healer when their were a cub, which made them want to become a healer and helper as well, begging the lioness to become her apprentice

They have more open headed ideals which sometimes crash with the old lady's, but she is very proud of her successor

... I'm really proud of these rocks, man
