don't hurt me, I'm not even kind of sorry for my pun sins
I'm a little behind in my seasonal art, but I'm hoping no one will mind too much. Who doesn't love fall color schemes, right? ^v^
These were just meant to be chibi doodles that weren't supposed to be cleaned up and finished because I drew them between my mountains of studying but /shrug/
oh well XD
I really like drawing nicole in sweater dresses help me ;v;

"I'm afraid I can't reach it, Shard." The soft, slightly robotic voice chimed. The lynx it belonged to strained once more as she stretched her arm as far as it would go, the glossy, perfectly rippened apple hanging just beyond her fingertips. She gave a slight sigh in defeat, finally resting her hand on the forehead of the Robian holding her up, looking down to meet his virtual green eyes with her own. "It seems my appendages are simply not long enough." She informed him. The black and yellow robot shifted his footing slightly, freshly fallen leaves crunching under his weight, "Well...I mean, we can't just give up." Nicole gave a small laugh, "And why not? Surely there is other fruit to pick. Besides, we are unable to eat it anyway." "That's not the point, though!" Shard argued, "What kind of Freedom Fighters would we be if we let ourselves lose to a plant?" The artificial lynx perched on his shoulders raised an eyebrow, "Jack, I believe you are taking this far too seriously." A raspy, robotic huff met her ears in response. "C'mon, just try one more time. I've got a good feeling about it." "I believe that 'feeling' is your fuel tanks freezing over." "Nicoleeeeee!" She giggled at him and shook her head in slight disbelief, but regardless, she obliged. She stood up as high as she could, Shard's hands supporting her, and outstretched her arm once more. Little by little, she could see she was inching closer to the point that her fingers could almost reach it. This was the point where under normal circumstances, she would have simply used her nanites to bring the fruit close enough to grab. However, Shard had insisted they figure this out 'the organic way'. There was no question that Shard was appreciative of his robotic advantages, but there were times when the experience was worth more to him than anything else, even if it made the task a bit more difficult. Nicole didn't entirely understand his reasoning, but it made him happy, and so on occasion, she was willing to play along. "Almost..." She muttered, squinting slightly as she reached. Shard shifted forward slightly just a bit more, watching with anticipation as her fingers just barely grazed the shiny red surface of their target. Nicole was entirely prepared to break the news to her companion that it just wasn't going to happen, but in a last ditch effort, she suddenly and inexplicably found herself able to touch the fruit. Quickly and with renewed eagerness, she wrapped her hand around it and gave a small tug, releasing the apple from its stem and cradling it in her hand. "Got it!" She declared, surprising herself with the amount of enthusiasm in her tone. She hadn't thought she was that invested in this silly little endevour. Shard replied with a whispered 'YES', bending down to let the lynx climb off his shoulders, not that such an action was entirely necessary. Once she was on the ground beside him, they both eagerly studied the red, heart shaped fruit they had so sought to obtain. "I told you we could do it." Shard boasted as Nicole cradled the apple in her hands, almost as if it were a living creature. She gave him an unconvinced glance, "You hovered to make yourself taller, didn't you?" Shard shot his companion an offended look, "What are you talking about, of course not!" Nicole giggled, "Any reason then why your jet would be warm?" "Uh, yea, it's cold out here. I have to make sure I'M warm so I can keep YOU warm, right? I mean, that's the gentle..bot..ly thing to do." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and started to walk, nonverbally changing the subject, "Now c'mon, let's go frame the thing or something." The lynx chuckled softly, saying nothing as she simply enjoyed the stroll along the fall colored path beside him, prized apple in hand. And admittedly, he was indeed comfortably warm.
