Description
It was daylight in the city, the sun shining down on the residents as they went about their lives. The sound of cars driving on the streets, the pitter patter of shoes on the pavement. Just outside the city was a park, where children ran around, playing and laughing away. This was a city that never was still in daytime, even its inhabitants.Well, except for Yuffie Baldavin.
She lay on the bench, sleeping like a rock with a newspaper on her face to keep the sun out of her eyes. Her grey hair bobbed down to her lower neck, and her bat ears flattened, suppressing the sound of children laughing and giggling away as they ran in circles, chasing each other. Her chest rose up and down as she slept away.
She was out of this world, and people had grown to her lifestyle, knowing her condition. No one had gotten an interest on it…until today.
From a distance, a man with dark hair and a long sash wrapped over his eyes walked out of a small house, located within walking distance of the park of 50 feet. Horns jutted out of his head, indicated him of being of a demon origin himself. He wrote something down in his note pad, beginning a walk to clear his mind of his studies.
He tilted his head back, breathing softly. He paused a moment, catching a rather interesting scent. It was rather fruity, yet carried the scent of a midnight stroll through the grass. To him, this only meant one thing. He quickly turned and followed the scent, making his path clear. He stopped when he arrived at the park, noticing the owner of the scent.
It was Yuffie, sleeping away on the bench. The newspaper had blown off of her, revealing her face. She had a decent tan, and her nose was pointed similar to a bat. Her silver bangs covered her eyes, with a content smile on her lips. Her wings folded across her form, posing as a blanket.
The watcher waited for no one to be watching before quickly walking over to her, picking her up from the bench. He turned and walked out of the park and back to his home, with no one none the wiser.
Yuffie was unaware of her own abduction, keeping her smile on as she rested her head on his chest. He tilted his head, but paid no mind before quickly getting inside his home, shutting the door.
The room he took the girl to was set up to be a lab, a rather creepy one at the most. Body parts of demons lay in jars of liquids. A lab table laid in the middle of the room, where he set her down on it. He turned to his desk and took out an empty needle to take a blood sample.
It was here that Yuffie opened her maroon eyes, yawning gently as she looked around. She sat up, rubbing her eyes before looking over to notice her captor, blinking. "Eh….who are you?" she asked. He paused, looking over at her for a moment before answering briskly, "Atsug…" he said. Yuffie's ears perked, which were humorously enough, almost too large for her head. Atsug stared at them for a moment before walking over, needle ready. Yuffie seemed to be too tired to be frightened, "Uhhh…what're ya gonna do?" she asked while a yawn came up.
Atsug did not answer as he stuck the needle into the first vein he found, filling the needle with her blood. She winced, looking down at the needle. Atsug pulled out the needle and put the needle down. "Go back to sleep." He said. Yuffie nodded silently, laying back and falling asleep.
As he looked at the blood sample on his computer, a slight smile crept to his lips. Looking at her DNA, he noticed that she was a fruit bat demon, and the last of her kind. The last pureblood… he thought as he looked over at her, who somehow got comfortable and fell asleep on the table. He stood and moved over to her, peering down into her features.
She seemed peaceful in her sleep, smiling again. Her pale rose lips looked almost inviting as he moved his face closer to hers. Their lips were inches apart before he pulled away, shaking his head. "No…" he said to himself, "Keep this professional" he turned, working on his computer once more to examine Yuffie's DNA, repeating the same words to himself in his mind, but he could not help but glance at the one-of-a-kind, sleeping girl at his table, occasionally a smile creeping into his face.
