I was hoping to post this before my premium membership ran out so that I could request critiques on this, but it seems as though I took longer than I expected.

This piece may seem slightly familiar to some of you - mostly those who have been watching me since I first joined the deviantART community. I uploaded a piece back in 2011 merely called "Kraid and Ridley". As some of you may be able to tell where I am going with this, I finally came around to redrawing it. I find it quite funny that, back in 2011, I wrote in the artist's comments/description that I did what I could to make Ridley and Kraid look as realistic as possible.
Anyways, let me point out some of the few differences between this piece and my old piece - in this version, Kraid has his mouth/jaws open; the colors are obviously more vibrant; the pupils are different; Kraid's belly is obviously more yellow; scales/bumps have been added to both characters, not just one; there is a few minor details scattered throughout the artwork that I added.
However, I was told by some people that Kraid's "third eye" seems a bit funky. I could see where they're coming from in a way - if they've never once before seen what Kraid looks like, they wouldn't realize that he has a "third eye".
Overall, I am pretty happy with how this piece of artwork turned out. I honestly cannot believe how much I have improved, yet at the same time, I can believe it. We all have to start out somewhere.
