Description
At the very top of the construction site, a green dinosaur with an exceptionally large nose, big eyes, a white underbelly that connects from his lower lip to the tip of his tail, four fingers (counting thumbs) on each hand, a red saddle with a white rim on his back, and three orange spines on the back of his head hunkers down in fear.(BG: Donkey Kong [NES] Game Start)
Mario: Hold on, Yoshi! I'm-a coming!
The plumber jumps from one girder to the next. Upon reaching the second-highest steel beam, he contorts his body slightly and jumps with the force of a tornado, and lands on the dinosaur's saddle. A few stories down, a pink ball with beady eyes, stubby arms, and red oval-shaped feet enters a work elevator just as the other two arrive. Yoshi, with Mario in tow, jumps, but slows his fall by kicking his legs and flapping his arms. He stops doing so just inches from the ground. The pink creature is then targeted by a menacing figure.
Voice: (threateningly) There you are, Kirby!
(BG: Vs. King Dedede)
The figure is a fat penguin-like creature with a orange mittens, yellow oval-shaped feet, a red-and-yellow bodyband looking like a Mexican design pattern, a red toboggan cap with white fluff and a gold rim, and a red robe with a white trim and a blue rabbit's head-shaped emblem on the back. In his robe is a wooden hammer with both ends having a single star carved into them.
Penguin: (affectionately) Oh, Kirby! I was so worried I might never see you again!
Rocky: (confused) Kirby? As in "Kirby from Dream Land" Kirby? Then, you must be King Dedede, the righteous king of Dream Land, or so they say.
(BG: Warp Star/Kirby Melee)
King Dedede: (guffaws) How'd you guess? Do you have some sort of psychic powers?
Rocky: (sweatdrops) Not really... I know your names, because I've played your games!
Kirby: Poyo?
King Dedede: Oh, I forgot that this is Kirby's baby talk. He's a young Star Warrior who saved us all from the terrible eNeMeE with the Star Rod. He may be little, but he's also got a big appetite, and the power to use his enemies powers against them. For example, if he sucks up, or inhales, a torch, he becomes Fire Kirby.
Rocky and the others stand still, astounded.
King Dedede: I guess the stunned silence means I proved my point.
(BG: Panic [MLSS])
Random Person: Help! The Coney Island Ferris Wheel broke down, leaving three people, two girls and one boy, trapped!
Yoshi: (I'm not sure what's going on, but somehow, I think Professor E. Gadd's invention sent us to Mario's true home.)
Rocky: Well, we need to go to Coney Island Amusement Park, and save those poor people!
They head for the amusement park.
