Chapter 7: Army Dillo Strikes & Marlene Spills the Beans

Back with Meowth's group, hey saw a giant mechanical wheel rolling at a super-fast speed.

Mewtwo: This must be the work of the Sim that Yumi was talking about. I'm going in for a closer look.

As Mewtwo jumped off the ledge, Meowth tried to stop it.

Meowth: Mewtwo, wait!

Yumi: I guess I'd better reason with it.

As she jumped down, Meowth was worried.

Meowth: (sweatdrops) In 'da woids o' Mario: Here we go, again? Again?

As Meowth, whose Kanto/National Pokédex Number was #52, jumped down, it teamed up with Mewtwo, #150, and Yumi, who was trying to reclaim the tourbus that was stolen by the villains, fought their way through the Tikis, until they stopped to see the metallic wheel, stopped.

Mewtwo: I sense a threat larger than all three of us.

The steel tire began to uncurl, revealing what looked like a large mammal whose head, legs, and tail poked out from the armor. He was named Army Dillo. As it let out a roar similar to that of Godzilla, the three began to fight, until Mewtwo whipped out another helper trophy consisting of a creature in an orange witch hat and red cloak with yellow eyes and a wand named Simirror.

Mewtwo: Since you already have Kao's trophy, I can help reflect the behemoth's attacks. Simirror, I choose you!

Simirror flung blades of reflective energy that not only damaged Army Dillo*, but also reflected his flaming projectiles.

*A/N: Think of Simirror in this story like Isaac from Golden Sun for Game Boy Advance. He can also push foes back with the energy beams just like Isaac can use his Move Psynergy in Brawl.

Meowth: Kao the Kangaroo! Let's go!

The yellow marsupial began to punch as Yumi finished with a slash from her guitar. The brute roared again and then jumped, before he realized that he made one fatal mistake: The weight of his armor tore through the floor he was standing on, which doubled as the ceiling for the deep hall where the lemers, First Squad, and the Meta-Knights braced themselves as the colossal armadillo crashed onto the floor. Everyone began to fight, as King Julien pulled out D.J. Candy's trophy*.

*A/N: She's like Tingle in this story. The hot air balloon has no effect. When her turntables burst into flames, the characters spew flames from their mouths. When the turntables freeze, things can get a little slippery. When brown and gold musical notes appear, wood hammers and Pikopiko Hammers, respectively, will emerge on the field. And when the turntables, except the records, become covered in flowers and moss, the camera zooms in on the character who summoned her. In Brawl, the former-most effect when Tingle is summoned gives the player a longer period of time (especially in Training) before another character could be summoned.

King Julien: Go, D.J. Candy!

D.J. Candy: What's up, party people? I'm gonna play some tunes that are so hot, fire looked cool! Omigosh! My turntables are on fire!

As Supergroove whipped out a fire extinguisher, everyone except Army Dillo was breathing fire like crazy.

Meta Knight: Now I know how Kirby feels.

Maurice: (confused) Who?

Meta Knight: Long story.

After D.J. Candy was done putting out the flames, she became a trophy again. Once the fire-breathing stopped, King Julien put the trophy under his crown, like he did before. Army Dillo's armor began to short-circuit, as he grabbed everyone and revealed his deadliest weapon yet: another bomb. This one was actually set for 15 seconds as everyone, much to Julien's horror, saw the bomb on Army Dillo's back. The two cannons became rocket boosters, as everyone except His Dancing Majesty fainted. King Julien knew that Army Dillo wasn't going to be alive for long, so he sent out the same attack that Mort launched at the Salesguy Statue.

King Julien: THUNDER STRIKE!

The bolt struck the brute's arm, causing him to release everyone as he roared in pain. The bomb exploded, as King Julien held on to Maurice. The Meta-Knights, King Julien, First Squad, and Maurice were saved by Yumi, who used a jetpack to save everyone.

Yumi: What's doomed people without someone to save them?!

As she carried the ten heroes to safety, Cackletta's trophy was sucked into the void. Back with Marlene, she was close enough to Miss Enigma.

Marlene: Excuse me... Are you going... (realizes/anger mark) YOU!

Back with King Julien, his friends made it back in one piece. As they came back to their senses, Lin Chung and Meta Knight agreed on something.

King Julien: I guess that makes us even-stevens, right?

Lin Chung: (panting) Since we helped you two out, and King Julien returned the favor, that DOES make us even.

King Julien and #108 shook hands. Back with Miss Enigma, who straightened her hood, she came to a conclusion. As she had flashbacks of the sacrifices the Tikis made, she came to a revealation

Miss Enigma: Maybe Marlene was right... Her words buzz around like angry bees...

Just then, a jet of flame nearly hit her. Everyone watched as Miss Enigma fled.

Skipper: (to Rico) Nice shot! (to everyone) We have no time to lose! Move out!

As everyone chased Miss Enigma, they fought more Tikis that stood in the way, as Kowalski picked up a helper trophy of a blue-and-white female robot. Once they reached her, Miss Enigma fired lasers from her platform. As they dodged the lasers, four kalimba Tikis surrounded them. As she stopped, another clung to the underside of another bomb before it crushed the poor Tiki. Two more Tikis bowed to each other before activating it, which was set a three minutes, just like most of the others.

Marlene: Please, hear me out! Do you trust me?

Skipper: (sweatdrops) Uh...

Marlene: Do you trust me?!

All (but Marlene): Yes*!

*A/N: This is a reference to another fanmake, Skipladdin. Staring Team Penguin (mostly Skipper and Rico) as Aladdin/Prince Ali and Abu, Invader Zim as Jafar, Tiff as Princess Jasmine, R.O.B. as the Sultan, Eddy (Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy) as Genie, Kirby and his Warp Star as the Magic Carpet, Shnitzel as Jafar's royal guard (despite he always says "Radda"), Snap as Iago, and Toadsworth as the Salesman/Storyteller. These quotes was used twice. Once where Team Penguin and Tiff have to escape Zim's guards, and the second time before the trademark song, A Whole New World, is sung, where Prince Skippy Cabana (called Prince Kaboom by Zim) offers Princess Tiff (no relation to her beta counterpart from the early version of KotS) a ride on Kirby's Warp Star.

Marlene: I know it sounds insane, but trust me when I say that Miss Enigma is actually Ami!

As the sound of a needle scratching a record was made, everyone, even Skipper was baffled as one minute elapsed from the bomb's timer.

Skipper: (anger mark) How could you trust the enemy, Marlene?!

Marlene: Look, she is NOT the enemy! She's working for an evil Sim in a red coat!

As Lyndsay and Skipper were grabbed by two Tikis, the former remembered something.

Lyndsay: (confused) Now, where have I seen him before? (realizes/anger mark) Morcubus! I should have known! That creep just doesn't know when to give up!

As the two Tikis released their victims, a third one waved good by to Miss Enigma/Ami.

Ami: (to the Tikis) Farewell, Tikis. (to Marlene) I hope you and your friends are right. (to herself) Morcubus was the real enemy all along. I bet he's targeting Yumi, too.

As Ami left, the bomb exploded, taking the Tikis out with it. Lyndsay rode piggyback on Sir Sonic while Team Penguin and Marlene rode on top of Fawful.

Sonic: So, what's this Morcubus up to?

Marlene: As Ami told me, he's planning to tear this world apart with the bombs. The areas that have been affected are transported to a dark, wastelandish world called Subspace. He's the one summoning the Tiki Tak Tribe with icky black particles. He may be working for the REAL enemy. His final target is Music Island, a floating isle where he plans to wipe it off the face of our world to summon a gigantic weapon that, when viewed up close, looks like a megatropolis from the future.

Sonic: Thanks for the info. Now, we just have to stop Morcubus with all we have.
