After a mysterious encounter with a devil themed criminal, beetle was knocked unconscious. When he woke up, he was in the United States 1st national bank, inside the high security vault, with 30 million dollars in his hand. As he opened the door, he saw an object hanging from the ceiling. It was a security guard, and in his hand, there was a note saying" time to test your skill false god, escape my trap and you will be rewarded...with your life!" As soon as he finished reading the note, he heard a beep. He shot his grappling hook at the ceiling and shot upward, right as the bank exploded in an all consuming fire ball! Beetle then passed out as the sound of police sirens filled the night air. After this, Beetle was rescued by his friend Emily Brant, who took him to her apartment and showed him the news. It was a shot of the President announcing a bounty of 1 Billion Dollars to the one who killed Beetle. After this, Emily stuffed Beetle into the trunk of her car and drove him home. On the way there, they met up with kayla, Beetles super powered (elastic) daughter, who was about to say something when a mysterious object lashed out from an alley and grabbed Beetle. Another object snatched Brant and sling-shotted her though a row of office buildings. Kayla pursued the mysterious attacker into the alley, only to realize her worst fears...Queen Viper had returned to D.C. The first prize seeker had arrived, and she wasnt going to be the last.
