"It's quite obvious who committed the act, madame," the Magician said. I shook my head in dismay. He couldn't possibly have nor was he making any sense. Though one thing was certain....nobody would know....

I waited until he was distracted. I reached for a staff, it was the best thing I could find to use as a weapon. I lunged at him but he knocked it from my hands. I stared in shock. He grinned wildly at me.

"You know who did it...Now tell me the name..." he said calmly with just a hint of insanity in his tone.....
