I wasn't a huge fan of how the suit looked in the movie (at least with the mask on...it actually looked pretty cool when he lost it), but I'm a huge fan of the character, and Chris Evans absolutely brought him to life on the screen, so I decided to draw him. The Avengers suit actually looks pretty good when you draw it less realistically, haha.BUY IT HERE! [link]

I really like your take bro. I agree with you about how the suit looked in the movie, but here it actually looks kinda cool. I think adding some bulk to him helps. l loved his WWll getup from the Cap movie last summer. That costume was the business!

My favorite one was actually this one [link] I just love that he's pretty much got his comic book duds on, but they're covered in real, practical gear. And I thought the helmet looked cool, too.

I feel the same way about the mask/helmet. Sadly, Cap's mask (any of them) never really translates well into real life.

Honestly, I think my favorite Cap look was this one [link] I feel like both the movie outfits were pretty cool until you put the helmet on. The standard issue helmet painted blue was a pretty elegant solution to that. It looks like something a soldier would wear, because IT IS something a soldier would wear.

It was very reminiscent of his Ultimate gear [link] (Earth-1610).jpg chich does make a lot of sense, especially for the time. Sadly I don't think it fit in well enough in the present day. It was a cool suit though.

I agree on the Cap suit...they shoulda stuck with the one from the first movie IMHO. Looks good on paper though!

I think I might have liked it more if there was no fabric on his neck and nothing covering his ears. The neck fabric is too loose. I know it sounds like a small nitpicky thing, but I think that extra fabric is what's keeping the suit from looking more like the Dark Knight helmet, instead of the Adam West mask.

Well, I don't like how Batman looks in the movies so I can't say I'd want it to look anywhere near that helmet...LOL But they could have done something better, I'm sure...the movie was still AWESOME though, so I can't complain too much!

Oh yeah, absolutely! The character was spot-on, and the script was amazing! I saw it twice the first week it was out!

Oh yeah, absolutely! It was everything an Avengers movie needed to be and more! Actually, I just saw these high-end toys today, and Cap's suit looks great. I have no idea why it looks so good on the toy and so bad in the movie! [link]

Thanks! You know, it's weird: the more I paint (digitally or otherwise), the more I tend to render when I go back to pencil. If I stick with pencil long enough, I render less and less. I guess all that scribbling is just an attempt to give the shapes some form.
