Whoa.
Thank you so much for submitting both parts of your drawing.
Your edits are great... concerning the highlights...but in my opinion you used too much blur-tools. So i will fav this one.
Congrats
ah...before i forget...is there any reference pic?...And where can I find it? Just want to see the picture...it's just a great shot of that face.

Great drawing and interesting subject. He's got an unusual face and you captured it well--those intense, wide-spaced eyes. I think his upper lip may actually be even a bit longer. If you haven't seen him in the Black Adder series or Jeeves and Wooster...find them! You're in for a treat.

Actually I caught Jeeves and Wooster on tv last week. It was awesome ^_^ And yeah, I actually did alter his face a little bit. I made it a little less longer, of course not enough to wreck it. The other stuff was an accident

I like this, the original scan, much more than the edited version. Your talent is clear in this...even though you CAN tell it's a drawing, you have to look twice. I like this kind of realism; it's not surreal but it FEELS like it is, but you can still see the pencilmarks. Rough and smooth at the same time! I love it!

Geinen In reply to reibish [2007-01-01 06:50:05 +0000 UTC]
Ah yes. I'm an extremely rough when I draw. It might be the lack of patience. Although, maybe not. I've tried to change my technique but it never works. ah well
Thanks so much though.

london's an interesting place. they kept us teachers slightly off campus in our own building. a little strange.
AND - last dig, i promise - you're so young that you can pretty go and do whatever the hell you want. it's a good time.

Oh haha of course. If only the juvenile criminal age limit was raised a bit, I could have myself some *real* fun.
Actually, though, I look a lot younger than I am. So...im 20 going on 16 it feels like.
You should see the looks I get at the bar. You can see it on their faces, they're thinking "what kind of idiot brings their kids to the bar and lets them drink??".
heh.

heehee ... i'll do you one better. i'm 26 AND i look about 14 AND i don't drink. so when my husband and i go to bars, HE gets the looks. as in, what kind of dirty perv is this guy? because no matter what non-alcoholic drink i order, it always comes in that big pitcher-kiddie glass. i hate that.

when i got fitted for my prom dress, the seamstress asked me if i was excited to graduating junior high. and at 20, i got turned away from an AA rated movie (you have to be 14), because they thought my i.d. was fake.
i could do this all day i've got six years of looking-young persecution on you
