Description
Sorry for the delayI experimented a lot with some other painting technique + line art,
and I am struggling so much with it.
This has taken me A LOT of time ;w;
Thanks for the entry! Enjoyed drawing her and experimenting with stuff!
But honestly, I don't think I will be into line art.
Conclusion : NEVER AGAIN lineart! ;w;
Its so restrictive, and its very hard to fix/change things on the fly..
Sometimes I just felt its too tedious to actually redo the lines and redraw + repaint stuff.
Oh well, that was a really great experience!

This is really cute <3, I love your color choices. But don't give up on line art just yet! although I agree it can be restrictive :/

Thanks a lot cx
Bwahah, its just that my sketch is not at all neat.
Its a very loose line with barely any proper shape and proportions, which I love to sculpt when making their silhouettes.
The thing about making lineart over a very loose sketch is..
There are so many little errors that I fail to see until I've completed the lineart itself! xD (And having to redraw and repaint those parts is just.. ;w;
I understand its my own mistake for not making confident lines..
But there is just something in me that kinda oppose making one confident line and having things defined.
(I love keeping things loose and free, full of potential, freedom, and energy!) xP

haha that's exactly my problem with line art! it can be a torturous job sometimes, and you have to know exactly what you're gonna draw. But somehow I'm stuck using this method :/
I understand what you like about using silhouettes, it defensively gives you more freedom while creating something.

Its nothing bad I believe, in fact, getting stuck with it will train you to always make perfect confident lines all the time! its a very amazing skill to be able to get it right the way you want it the first stroke itself xD
I'd love to be able to do just that!
The cons is just that, I will lose my "Happy Accidents" that sometimes create something really cool xP
But hey, I am actually learning as well to make controlled lines. (Trying to use pen to draw, pretty torturous indeed! XDD)
Its good to have both, as both are amazing tools that shines in certain conditions <3

Hahah, seeing the character, I am not sure if she would fit my darker color palettes (Since she seem so cheerfulΒ Β
I've always wanted to experiment with a brighter color palette. (Since my other 3 raffle work are pretty dark in colors)
Also wanted to try and do lineart, last time I did, was like a year ago!
It was really a huge challenge, learned a lot from it! (Especially about managing line weights xP)
Thanks a lot! This has put me outside my comfort zone, and have helped me a lot trying different styles Β
Glad you find her cute!

It's perfect! Maybe a bit more weight on the lines? But that's just a personal preference <3
