Description
A study from a photo of a Tiger with her cub. Done in MyPaint in around 4hrs30. I'm very happy with how it came out but as usual there are parts I would like to improve next time.Done as a present for a friends birthday.

I love looking at studies like these. Despite being digitally done, the brushwork gives it a traditional feel which I really like. Great job!

You clearly put a lot of work into this, especially the details. I think it came out well; I like it at least. I also like the subject you chose and the way you decided to frame it. Much more interesting than the standard rectangle frame.

Thank you very much! I tried to keep the focus defined rather than busying it too much. I'm still relatively new to digital painting so it's studies like this that really help me feel out my ways of using the medium. Thanks for your comment!

Well, you certainly kept the focus on the tigers and not something going on in the background. If you are new to digital painting, then you are making the rest of us look bad. Needless to say, I would have guessed that you were NOT new to it.

I've been doing traditional painting and drawing for as many years as I've been doing art so I am just taking the same techniques and transferring them to a tablet. I'm glad you like it n_n
