My only question is, where would Ultimate Warrior fit into all this?

True Neutral. He isn't truly lawful or chaotic and as far as "good" and "evil" go... well he's so far gone he's seeing morality in orange and blue where we see black and white.

Love that Arn Anderson, one of my all-time personal faves, is in the middle of this. As a little girl growing up in St. Louis, I used to watch NWA Worldwide Wrestling, and was thrilled to see him every week as a member of the Four Horsemen.
Great job on this, MrGogglesWV.

I am basing my pantheon in a custom D&D campaign on professional wrestlers. Have you noticed how professional wrestling really is a lot like a modern mythology, especially since the wrestlers are all larger than life plates of ham and cheese that each have some crazy gimmick that sets them apart and they all betray and ally with each other over arbitrary reasons; a lot like the Greek or Norse gods? Seriously. It's crazy how similar they are. Anyway, I am pretty out of touch with professional wrestling as I haven't really kept up with in in the last decade and a half or so, and my knowledge is swiss cheesed, now. I would appreciate a little help, if you don't mind. If you could suggest perhaps 15-30 of the most iconic performers (they don't all have be wrestlers, necessarily; you can use Mean Gene or something, if you want) from between about 1978-1997 for me to use, rate them with the numbers 0,1,2,3 or 4 to indicate their level of importance plus their rank of power and skill (with 4 being a leading, iconic contender and either one of the most popular faces or most reviled heels and 0 indicating a promising jobber or acolyte in training) and add what you would consider to be their most iconic alignments. They I could pick and choose them and fine tune the list to fit exactly what I need. This would really help. Thanks.

I could fill out an entire second alignment chart based on C-M Punk at various points of his career.

So where would you put Jericho, Kane and Brock Lesnar?

GenXMothman In reply to MASTER-OF-SUPRISE [2013-04-29 05:19:10 +0000 UTC]
Jericho's currently lawful neutral but he's moved all over the chart over the years . Kane is almost always Chaotic Evil, but it seems that Dr. Shelby's therapy was successful enough to get him to True Neutral. Brock Lesnar is Chaotic Evil unless it's HAPPY FUN BROCK cira 2003.

He's Lawful Good now and IRL but the very fact he's used barbed wire bats and thumbtacks makes him Chaotic.

It's debatable. I suppose you could list Arn as being "Neutral Evil" for most of his Horsemen/Brain Busters days and Neutral Good as a face though... he always gave this vibe of a blue-collar guy whose job was simply kicking people's asses regardless of whether they were faces or heals.

The helmet he wore in his early WCW/New Japan run was freaking awesome. He only wore it in entrances but it actually blew out smoke!

This would really help me explain the whole Face-Heel-Tweener concept to people who don't quite understand wrestling. Thanks!
Now, where would you say Sting, Randy Savage, Goldberg, or CM Punk would fall on the charts?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
GenXMothman In reply to maxvision92 [2012-02-06 07:10:41 +0000 UTC]
Sorry for the late things.
Sting - Depends on largely the era. I'd say pre-1996 "Surfer Sting" is typically Lawful Good, while "Crow" Sting was typically Chaotic Good. During his TNA heel run with the Main Event Mafia he was Lawful evil guy leading a bunch of neutral evil heels around. More recently Sting also had a chaotic neutral run in his "Joker Sting" identity.
Goldberg - True Neutral. Face/heal doesn't matter to him it's just "whose next."
Randy Savage - Chaotic Neutral. Unless we're talking about his Memphis run. Then he Chaotic Evil.
CM Punk - Currently Chaotic Good. His Straight Edge Society gimmick was pure Lawful Evil though.

Thanks. Was thinking of maybe doing a retro 80s or 90s one. Though one based on modern indy wrestling might be fun as well.
